Thanks. Seriously, though, I might actually keep developing it, if I'm so inclined.

…WE'VE GONE TOE FAR.

…Well, crap. I hadn't even thought of that. However, if that's the case, then…crap, no, that would work. Garnet would be the equivalent of Jasper (both are silicates), and Amethyst would be the only true Quartz. And wait a second. What if the "Quartzes" are the Gems associated with Earth, whose crust is very much

…You know, that's kinda tough for me. First off, they were ALL great. 1 has Rose's Scabbard, Full Disclosure, The Return and Jail Break. 2 had Sworn to the Sword, Keeping it Together, and Chille Tid. And 3 had…actually, all of it. Except for Historical Friction for me. So, for me, it's probably:

The geologist within my ornithologist body wants there to be a geological theme for the class system. I mean, diamonds are obviously at the top, but Amethyst and Rose Quartz would be in two different classes, so that doesn't quite work.

Well…not SO great.

Or a room full of Younglings.

It's OK. Give yourself some time to practice and get a leg up on the competition.

Well, now that she's loose, who knows what plans are afoot?

Yeah, but most people didn't believe that that was a reference to her being a specific type of Gem. Using "a" in the way that Jasper used it could also make it seem that "Pearl" was just her name. But after today, I think it's all made clear.

When Peridot was talking to the Gems over the old communication system, I was very happy to hear the signal lag between the two sides, as we heard Steven's voice in Peridot's feed. Also, DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!!

Eh, I can believe it. Especially given the disharmony displayed by the Gems in this episode. Even after Pearl and Garnet made up, they weren't exactly perfect afterwards.

Excuse me as I recite the sacred anthem of our fandom:

The talk between Garnet and Pearl was fantastic. That said, though…

The fantastic end of a fantastic week. MAN, I love this show.

Fantastic. As a lifelong Looney Tunes and Chuck Jones fan, this is a great dissection of his work, and a good introduction for the uninitiated.

I freaking loved that line. Delivery was perfect.

I just watched that clip again. Did not get it until I'd heard it for, like, the 3rd tme.

…Pretty much, yeah. Honestly, I was referring to Steven's reaction, not Onion's, but they both show typical reactions to that kind of video.

As a high school science teacher who's helped teach Health class, that reaction to the birthing tape is spot on.
