Eh, we'll see. Not convinced that there are enough fans of the show for this to actually happen. Still, we have at least three people here right now, so…progress?

Actually, I was aware of American Dragon: Jake Long, weirdly enough. Don't know why, I was 14 when it came out, but I knew about it. And I've sen enough of Foster's to understand the reason for its fanbase. But if I ever have a day with nothing to do (and no Netflix to watch), I might check those other two out.

Oh my God, I forgot about the SWAT KATS reference. Never realy watchd it as a kid, but I knew of its existence. That's some quality nostalgia-diving, right there.

Well, if more members of "the herd" arrive here, I'll jump on in. Not so sure of the chances, though.

Also as a black guy, I mostly concur. He night be offensive, but he DID have a lot of insight into Steven's powers. Granted, you COULD chalk that up to various other "magical" tropes commonly seen in black characters in mainstream media, but I'm gonna choose to be a little more optimistic about that.

To be fair, the creators of Steven Universe actually came up with the idea for this crossover, not corporate of the creators of Uncle Grandpa. And, whilst I wholeheartedly agree about the Rose Quartz masquerade, I saw what you perceive as "cheap shots" more as the Crewniverse poking fun at themselves and the fanbase

Yeah, all right. I honestly haven't seen enough of the show to form a truly informed opinion, but from what I've seen, I kinda hate it. It always just seemed like generic kid-pandering schlock with faux-surreality and wACkInESs to me. Always thought it was pretty dumb-looking, and never endeavored to look into it

…Here? I mean, I'm looking forward to the Smooze in the upcoming season, but…the Steven Universe thread?

Dee Dee, on the other hand…

Eh, give it a shot. You might hate it, or you might be pleasantly surprised, like I was. I admittedly wouldn't have given it an A (probably a B or B+), but I enjoyed it WAY more than I thought I would. And I HATE Uncle Grandpa.

Personally, I mourn for all the older stuff on there. Never watched Flapjack, never saw The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, and never saw much of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. But Dexter's Laboratory, PowerPuff Girls, The Grim Aventures of Billy and Mandy, Ed, Edd, and Eddy? Ah, man. The stuff of my childhood

Realized it a few seconds later, then rewound to confirm. When a show makes me rewind to clarify a potential and subtle reference, it gets just a little bit more respect from me.

OK, I have two responses: one for the legitimate complaint, and one in case you're a troll. I like to be prepared. Legitimate complaint one first.

Yeaaaaaaaah, those really set me off. One of the only things about this episode I genuinely hated. That and Pizza Steve.

I agree with most of your points. The animation changes were really jarring in some cases (specifically Pearl's freakout within the plot hole), and the whole Pizza Steve thing kinda bothered me, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this episode. Granted, I went into this thinking I'd hate it, AND I

Hilarious. I also loved Pearl's momentary freakout at Amethyst when she was eating the three-ended sub. I'm legitimately surprised at how well this show adapted to the surreality presented by Uncle Grandpa.

Steven Universe: the only thing that could actually make me like Uncle Grandpa. Seriously, I got some legitimate laughs from this episode, all the way from Uncle Grandpa's wink to the fanbase about the canonicity of the episode (and the subsequent wink about the "sinking ship" of Lars and Sadie), to the (somewhat

BRING ON THE SMOOOOOOOOOOOZE!!!!

Admittedly, that's what I had in my head when I wrote that comment. But, to be fair, Laurel's costume has no yellow, so white makes more sense in that context.

I was about to suggest that she could be a metahuman in that universe, but according to an official description of the character in the upcoming series, she still has the Tantu totem. So…huh. Maybe.
