Murphy’s my congressman. His staff is just as on as he is when I call the office, they let me wail into the phone for as long as I need to. They listen, and take notes, and then I get a letter from Chris answering all my questions that isn’t a form letter back. He’s great.

That is EVERY Friday night in our house. That is Friday night supper. Minus the wine, which I find sour, unless it’s good champagne. A good Scotch, some olives, salami, a nice baguette, 2 or 3 cheeses, peach or plums, some fig jam. The evening is complete.

I always add a yolk or two to my chicken soup, not like it is in raman noodles, but mixed in just so I know it’s there.

My off-the-boat Polish grandmother would use potato starch to iron shirts. I don’t know how she got it for ironing, soaking potatoes before she put them in the home made chicken soup?
