She stayed behind because leaving an actual person on the ship was the easiest way to make sure they could react to any changes in the situation that would affect the original plan.

As an adult who has worked in child-dense environments, I have sometimes had to approach children who were on their own or seemed to be in trouble. My rule, and the rule that I taught my staff, is to stay a solid step away from the child (out of what could be “grabbing” distance), until you have established that they

The problem as many have pointed out is:

Enty has been banging this drum for years, and good for him. Even if half of the stuff he writes is accurate, this guy should be in jail for years. He should be questioned based on his Instagram pics alone. Enty’s also been on the front lines of the Bryan Singer allegations. Fuck, I want these predators to go down. It

To curb my splurging on Amazon, I have a designated day — Thursday — as the only day I can buy. So the rest of the week I throw stuff in the cart but “Amazon day” is the only day I can checkout.

Shouldn’t the question be why don’t we pay our teachers more?

Blames the union and not the executive class,

People said the same thing about Weinstein.

Hey buddy, if unions disappeared tomorrow and all the assembly line workers suddenly got paid minimum wage, the cars wouldn’t get any cheaper. All the extra money would go into stock buybacks and executive compensation. Stop looking down at the person standing next to you for having a little more and start asking why

psssst:

Not really tho. They probably have known for a while, if such a shoe were to drop.

This really is the worst argument. Before Tesla was around, nobody was making electric cars because “consumers don’t want them.” Consumers often have to be told what they want.

Ah, the old straw man blaming unions for the state of the American car industry....

Other then the fact a lot of the problems that the US auto industry had more to do with anti-competitive behavior, laziness in design and engineering, and lack of re-investment in it’s own production processes.

Try the job for a week and see if you feel the same way. My daughter worked at an assembly plant for a summer, she loved it because it gave her a much desired workout, but she was stiff & sore every morning she came home.

Every working body should have 4 weeks of vacation, minimum.

We should say it about fast food workers, too. Labor is labor, if you put in the time you should be able to afford the American quality of life.

Got news for you, 60k a year isn’t great money anymore, hasn’t been in a decade.

Why? I’m asking this sincerely. Why is an assembly line worker not entitled to the same financial rewards as, say, a police officer? Both jobs can potentially involve huge amounts of danger and both jobs can ostensibly be done with utterly unskilled labor, but only one of those jobs is routinely blamed for the general

Why not? 60k a year is about the base in most location to live halfway comfortably. The time off should be a starting point for all full time jobs also. Just because other jobs are paid shit wages and given crap time off doesn’t make it right.

What should they make? And why are you shitting on someone for making a good wage? Maybe you should be pissed you aren’t being paid more?
