I have severe fibromyalgia (too much pain, stiffness, and fatigue to do minor household chores much of the time, even. Forget being able to work, I’ve been on disability for the past 7, boring-ass years). Traditional meds just aren’t cutting it, and OTC pain pills/NSAIDs are completely useless, due to their mechanism

I did this. My son asked why one particular boy does some things (wrecking and stomping on other’s creations or calling names). I told him sometimes people are assholes. This was after many other explanations and frankly I am sick of this kid. Then hr was playing with some minifigures and one said the other was “being

I replied in full the the grey that replied to you, but I absolutely agree with most of what you’ve said here and I urge all feminists to exercise the “understanding” and “empathy” (quotes for these things being instilled by the patriarchy) we apparently naturally have (haha) to use these moments as teaching moments

They are absolutely real. And kind of like when you tell a white person they are being racist, a TERF being called out as such will become defensive or shut down. I hope that we can find a way to both use the correct terminology for what we see (i.e. TERF behavior, but not using radical feminism as a synonym for such)

Considering Weinstein has paid people to research and discredit his victims I think her paranoia is warranted. Doesn’t make her stance or previous comments about transwomen correct though.

As a midwesterner, I can assure you the correct spelling is “shoulda”.

i think the end where she just completely looses it and gets aggressive shows that she has clearly not sorted out her issues about being victimized and experiencing violence, the level of paranoia she has shows she has severe mental health issues, and the outrage and inability to calmly deal with another emotionally

Except that it sabotages the lives of those who have it. They don’t just get out of stuff everyone hates to do like throwing out the garbage and other unrewarding tasks, they also cancel vacations, take jobs beneath their qualifications as long as they accommodate their symptoms and stay home from parties. It wouldn’t

Yeah, totally. That’s the exact way I wield my mental health my diagnoses; just for super fun and liberating last minute cancellations for things I’ve worked really hard for, or was really looking forward to.

UPDATE: Wow, his face really DID get cancelled! Or at least his tweet no longer appears up there, presumably because he got ratioed into deleting it.

But Gaga isn’t cancelling bc she’s “mercurial,” she’s doing it for health reasons.

Same. I’ve only had a few concerts canceled on me, one was Gaga in Nashville about 5 years ago. I was sad, but Nashville is only 5 hours and I hadn’t booked a hotel yet. The last was the Foo Fighters and it sucks I drove 3+ hours into the middle of Kentucky for no reason but I wasn’t out more than gas. If I plan a

This is why I passed up on seeing GnR in Philly. I’m not taking the chance that I spent upwards of $100 to be involved in a riot because Axl didn’t take his fucking meds that morning.

Yeah, a friend of mine has fibromyalgia and it’s no exaggeration to say it rules her life. She has a bachelor’s degree and fluency in a second language and planned to go into national politics, but her constant pain has ruled that out. She’s still very active in local politics and works for non-profits, but she’s said

Fibromyalgia id no joke and I’m amazed at how active Lady Gaga is considering the disease. I can get being bummed to have lost hundreds of dollars in trip costs but don’t go on Twitter raging at the artist whose experiencing pain and misery the likes many will never understand.

He wants to wipe out scoliosis in the black community.

Older white chick here.... and I know I am clueless sometimes.... but what does this mean - “We want our people to be straight. “

It’s not even a “saga”, but a bunch of self-entitled “fans” who whenever something horrible happens involving the singer they supposedly adore their first action is to complain they’ll have to get a refund and wait till the next tour in a couple years time to see them sing live rather than any sign of sympathy.

“the tour should of never of been a thing if it’s this bad. Or should of stayed cancelled”

This Gaga saga is precisely why I will never sink grillions of dollars into traveling to see a mercurial star. I have had TWO Duran Duran concerts cancelled out from under me, and they are considered stable.
