I feel completely the same way. Seriously, fuck cops, but without any sort of floatation aid they would be searching for two bodies and not one, especially if the cops are not trained in water rescue. I feel for the man and his family though, you would have to be pretty scared to try to swim across a lake to get away…

I can’t find the video, and I don’t usually give police the benefit of the doubt, but going out to help a drowning person without a floating device or a rope attached to land or a boat is asking to be drowned yourself, especially if you’re not a strong swimmer.

They are in no way obligated to ‘protect’ or ‘serve’ anyone, they’re here to keep the under classes in line.
