It’s a moral conundrum that’s essentially absurd and trotted out when someone wants to feel morally superior. The answer is obvious, the setup ridiculous, the permutations endless, and everybody seems to treat it as a serious problem.

I for sure saw Gretchen calling Jimmy as an act of self-sabotage, freaking out about the idea of commitment with Boone
Not relevant to anything, but Shazad Latif played Clem Fandango on Toast of London and I’m having a very hard time taking him seriously because of that.
She’s getting worse! Which I should find annoying but instead find endlessly endearing.
I loved the characterization of the teenagers too. I thought it was really on point. People idealize high school and teenage years, but these teenagers were just stressed, scared, awkward... way more true to life than what I’ve usually seen on TV.
The Duckwrth set reminded me of The Chappelle Show so much that I was waiting for Dave to jump out of the crowd to dance with Robin and Duck.
probably more to do with living in some wealthy NYC bubble, like shown in all those utterly tone deaf unbreakable kimmy schmidt plot points. comes across as some “hello fellow kids” where she is aware of what is happening, but by virtue of not being a part of it, just doesn’t really get it and thus lacks the insight…
I did like that Gretchen at least asked if it was okay before kissing her.
it’s a sarong!!!
I decide when the squatting is necessary.
Holy shit I thought you were making a joke about how seriously everyone takes trailers these days. I didn’t realize you were providing actual evidence.
This is all a joke though, right?
Ugh but Desus & Mero is sooo good
It is unreasonable to ask Adam Levine that, but it is not unreasonable for Adam Levine’s A&R rep to ask his/her secretary to ask one the interns to do a little vetting.
Oh man... how did ANYONE read or watch Fight Club and think Tyler Durden was the hero? It’s not like Jack’s a shining paragon but the book and film BOTH make it pretty clear that Tyler is full of shit.
Because their whole philosophy is consistent, logically sound, and not full of contradictions at all.
Man, I am so very glad that Colin Ferguson turned out to be more than just a one-off character. He was so damned good and charming and likable on “Eureka” and his comedic timing and delivery is just as good as ever here. He deserved so much better than the Maytag commercials, and I’m just glad he’s finally getting it.
Actually I thought it was rather an on-point critique of MRAs, that their “philosophy” is much less about any committed social ethos, than it is about a bunch of guys butt-hurt over getting rejected by women.
Dunno, Cartagia - I’ll say it’s a LOT harder to post here now that I routinely end up in the Greys for several days, even though I switched over to my Gawker Media account from the one I made just for the AV Club.
Glad to see Deadpan Andre Braugher survived the Kinjapocalypse.
