The Lucy Maggie situation is (to my mind) weirdly the only realistic approach I’ve seen on TV of such a “kissed someones boyfriend” scenario? Like actual drama shows find stupid ways to make it less the fault of our lead character and here the stupid way that literally involves a vengeful ghost from the 80s leads to a

I’m not sure why a lot of commentors didn’t get this but the scientists hired a company (that ended up being Robertsons) that was supposed to dispose of their spider carcusses. People at his company turned around and dumped it together with toxic waste in those mines. He was the one informed it was causing problems

At danger of repeating myself endlessly in this comment section: that wasn’t freaking dubstep it was grime and the confusion is slightly insulting but understandable.

That wasn’t Dubstep but your comments right after that explained why you have no clue.

They lost me with the giant mommy spider (honestly haven’t been this scared since the Weeping Angels) and then got me back with the best use of grime in sci-fi since Attack The Block.

I guess its more that previous seasons of AHS were explaining backstory in flashbacks and now we actually already know these characters and are being caught up on what happened to them since - to a degree.

Uh I’m not sure I need to say this but they were referencing the perfume Chanel No 5, not the person in Scream Queens?

I’ve seen your comments before and if your conclusion is that Molly asked him to give up his primary relationship? Then you are clearly not paying any attention to the show.

I was quite literally thinking yesterday that it’s sad so many vaguely talented people got so far from SNL and he was gonna stay underrated.

My absolute favourite is a pasta salad that works for at least 3 days,

Did you read any of the explanation afterwards of do you just feel like this would’ve been a good comment regardless?

True, for all of the benefits of an adaption, there are still a lot of things that get lost in translation / don’t make as much sense in television as in writing.

This is stuff that I didn’t catch until I rewatched but you are right about the motivations. I just would’ve preferred at least 1 or 2 of the leaps in the Ashford storyline this episode to be more explicit. They had time for lectures and spent it on other things like the admittedly lovely Amos-Anna conversation.

Game of Thronesitis is a good reference, since that’s at this point the only show I could compare it to. It doesn’t have the same problem of randomly killing people ( even though they do get rid of characters rather quickly like the bad guy on Earth, old president, Avazala disappeared for a while and botanist is gone

This was the worst episode* for me and some friends I talked with, we literally independently mentioned that this is the episode where binge fatigue kicked in, nothing really new happens except for random character work and the conclusion of plots we already knew. Didn’t even fully comprehend the Shades Comanche

I think there were 5 references to this in the first 2 or 3 episodes alone. At least 3 by people who shouldn’t know about that metaphor.

I agree, its exhausting. That last scene turned into basically a thriller for me - I was so afraid the writers would have gone the usual route / commentary on this issue. Luke Cage is 100% not right in this situation! Especially in light of the recent new Jay-Z & Beyonce album where the message was reinforced that

I haven’t seen this discussed anywhere, mostly because the show starts with a Texan South-East Asian pilot from Mars.

Yes that Anna moment! Her facial expression? The exhilarated-shocked-eager look was perfection and the best twist in a long list of twists in this show.
