Actually the writers had made some hints in the lead up to the new season that they were going to “reaffirm” her bisexuality. A lot of (dumb) people got scared/angry and started assuming/ranting that they were erasing her love for women when in actuality... Sara has solely been with women for the entire run of LoT.

It’s a slightly dumb stretch of you to pretend his clothing immediately connected to some change in his sexuality.

I wouldn’t know if its traditionally worn in Aruba but both Aruba and Indonesia were Dutch colonies and it is traditionally worn in Indonesia so maybe there’s some overlap there?

Such a weird aspect to focus on BUT: I truly loved how they portrayed the teenagers in this episode. They seemed fully realised characters with as little screentime as they got, from the initial discussion the kids were having when Gretchen and Heidi walked up to the “Why did you let her do that?” that Haley asks

The weirdly funny moment when Ripper was released by Landy and Michael ordered the lights on max... and barely any light turned on.

Yeah the Saru and Michael bit would’ve worked much better if she at least also meant a serious apology to Saru triggered by the will of their shared Captain. Or maybe didn’t admit that that’s what she was after?

I think they made it pretty clear that based on what type of food Ripper eats and what organism it shares traits with that Michael thinking it wasn’t a predator wasn’t based on intuition.

It would fit with their Doctor Who love.

I think enjoyment of Iron Fist depends heavily on that second sentence of yours, thinking that he is supposed to be this annoying.

i’m so happy I braved the horrible design of the frontpage so I could find out about this!

I am incredibly jealous you got to see that show!

I think its so hilarious when they have characters sort of refer to how insane their storylines have been,

He is some excellent casting, I think much like the main cast he can really pull of the loveable asshole.

Honestly that was the most annoying thing about it, the reviewer noted the Spencer haircut but he was literally dressed exactly like Spencer, up to the unnecessary shoulderbag. There is some space for subtlty.

I am so confused, did you think we were supposed to like a real-life Mindy Lahiri?

Vanity Fair’s opening paragraphs for interviews are the worst. Any attempt to humanize always ends up horribly overwritten.

Actually I would think this is already skipping some of the process with representation of other groups because we don’t necessarily need Todd to be “perfect” for him to be representative. Which did happen with gay representation for example. Certainly when they introduce us to to his support group of other aces which

He does!

I was rewatching the last season finale and they had all noticeably changed so much from how they were portrayed in the old opening. Especially Lindsay.

Funnily enough I was just rewatching PoI and got to that season premiere of him working as a cop. They even telegraph how screwed up it is because once he’s a cop he’s kneecapping guys in broad daylight which is just visually confusing.
