I believe the external Ceton CableCARDS tuners are out now or are available for preorder. For small space/heat considerations they are good option and I think they are designed for tuner sharing across multiple computers.
That and the Kindle app is world's better than the stock Android version of the Nook app. B&N doesn't even sell Nook Color books on the Android version of its app. Anyone with a rooted Nook gets an automatic downgrade in functionality. Its a weird position for B&N to take, they obviously could offer color books on…
I went with the HTC Flyer for my folks instead. Its cheaper than the iPad ans has the camera and connectivity the Kindle lacks. The option to customize the interface and the ability to use widgets makes it a better choice than the iPad and Kindle as well.
Android tablets can display many pages just fine using a desktop User Agent and it was a common hack in order to get Hulu to work. Presumably that wouldn't show up as an Android tablet in statistics.
Close. The problem is with fructose, which is present to a slightly higher degree in HFCS than in regular sugar. Look for the Bitter Truth for the very detailed metabolic explanation on why fructose is metabolized in a much different way than glucose and gets converted almost entirely to fat and other by products…
Agreed. Subsonic is a very good choice. The latest version allows for streaming, has arbitrary cache sizes, video playback (lifesaver when traveling with kids), and file transcoding.
Yes, caffeine is known to be addictive. Withdrawal can cause headaches/migraines. Excessive caffeine can do the same. For some people who suffer from migraines, such as myself, regular amounts of caffeine help in suppressing migraines. Neurochemistry is tricky.
Sounds like Subsonic, only not as good. Subsonic will set up a cache on your phone and temporarily store music there so you have some buffer space. The cache size is user controlled so it will delete files that don't get pinned to storage.
This is a tough one. You're off by about 6,000 years on the dinosaurs and humans and don't take the Rapture into account like his chart does. On the other hand you have a Y axis.
There is no argument to prove. He posted a chart authored by a "climatologist" who makes his predictions based on the Bible. The last data point is literally the Rapture.
I like it as well. Too bad the article is wrong about the function. Its not meant for the people you have in your circles, its the random people who circle you and then spam like crazy.
Would it be horrible to wish some kind fatal infection would kill him as a result of that tattoo, purely for the sake of irony?
I have the knife racks as well and a four year old who's easily able to reach them using a stool or stepladder. She already knows better than to try and play with them, or any other dangerous things in the kitchen. So far the good behavior is also extending to not going after delicious things too but I don't think…
Unless Amazon puts out a major upgrade to its appstore the lack of the Android marketplace is a major drawback. No batching and sluggish controls makes using Amazon as a primary market incredibly slow.
Moto's STB market is firmly entrenched in the commercial sector. Tacking on a few features from Google might make it a better sell but only marginally so, its much different market than the consumer one. If they can cut costs and add features then it would be a win. Delivering a marketable (something consumers would…
I love the convenience of one centralized cable source that can share out tuners, even if it is still a bit glitchy. Ceton will be getting competition from SiliconDust soon too on their standalone 3 and 6 tuner boxes.
No. There is no requirement to sue. There is a loss of the ability to collect for past damages if you wait too long to sue and that only applies to the party actually making the product. Apple can pick and choose who they want to sue. They are limited to a certain extent by antitrust law because they are a monster…
Subwoofers are designed to have tons of internal bracing to limit vibrations. They also aren't usually placed against crappily made computer desks and cranked well past the point of distortion. Subs are fun. In college I made a tape of very low notes that were practically inaudible but which could hit the resonance…
I'm not sure about that. There is an Incoming stream that shows posts made by people who have added you to their circles although you don't have them in your's.
