@drfaustus71: Completely agree with you. I'm currently using XBMC for local media and evaluating different streaming platforms. Nothing really can match up to XBMC in the local media arena, particularly when it comes to handling metadata. The major drawback is the extra time investment needed to make things work

@Matt0505: A nettop isn't going to be able to give you cablecard support or PS3/360 quality games. It takes a good bit more hardware than what nettops currently have available to do that. You can get there with a bit larger of a box and much deeper pockets but it would be a regular HTPC rather than a nettop.

@92BuickLeSabre: There are some roasters designed for home use such as the Iroast2 that come with an attachment for a duct. It lets you vent the smoke out of a nearby window and doesn't take up much space when not in use.
