I strongly considered a GTI with the DSG but wound up buying a 3-series wagon instead for the extra cargo space. The GTI was more fun, in my opinion. Not the fastest or the best handling, but the engine and DSG are mated perfectly. The seat of the pants fun factor is unmatched at the price.
