I think it’s a very good argument in keep one’s own council and not letting the actions of others dictate your own.

Yeah… But that’s not an argument to be used against Internet shaming. You can only control your own response. You can’t control others. Just because some people take it too far, that doesn’t mean that you should remain silent in the fact of actions such as this.

There’s a fine line between Internet shaming and Internet mobbing. Shame this man all you want… Just don’t threaten his life, livelihood or family. Acts like this should be roundly rejected. And there’s nothing wrong with using the Internet to call attention to it.
