@Rosie's Revenge: Just remember that Jenny McCarthy is one of those angry, sad, and frustrated parents. She just also happens to be famous at the same time.

@KuanYin: Is the truth a form of influence? My mother worked with special needs children for 35 years and my sister has cerebral palsy; believe me, your sister has a nagging fear in the back of her mind that the vaccinations caused her son's autism.
@ERB81: My friend had to bar her sister and her sister's children from visiting her for the first six months after my friend has her baby because none of her sister's 6 kids were vaccinated; she had to stay home with her husband at Christmas because one of the kids was sick (and still going to Christmas dinner) and…
@ddhboy: Every time Microsoft is mentioned on Gizmodo, someone crys out their longing for the courier; and I wholeheartedly approve.
@Kinowolf: LF1M Nottingham Mines. need tank.
@bawheid: Digging for fish doesn't sound nearly as fun.
@anuran001: On a related note, my family did a vodka-tasting party over the holidays, and out of 40 people, no one could tell the difference between any of the vodkas. Everything ended up averaging between 7 and 8 out of 10, even the off-brand bargain-basement stuff.

@Auntie_P: My extended family has a similar motto: Eat food, twice as much, mostly fats.
@theose is nominal: My choices are shitty dialup and shitty DSL, both through the same company. I thought satellite or wireless were options but, it turns out wireless has the same speed as dialup in my area and satellite doesn't actually work because of the geography; even though the company technically covers my…
@NorwoodIsMyHero: I don't mind paying for bandwidth, that's already happening in a sense and I'm not sure that's really the issue at stake.
@gstar: True, though I was thinking of self-defense. Is a gun the proper escalation response to a knife? I suppose it depends on where you live.
@Curves: Be sure to check legal precedent for self-defense weapons. I'm not sure how it is in your area but, one has to be very careful about the use of lethal or potentially-lethal weapons carried for self defense; as carrying them can constitute premeditation, which is not an issue for non-lethal defense items.
@certifiedfryguy: This. If you find yourself in a knife fight, even if you are well-trained, your best bet to get out alive is to run like hell.
@N@tedog: You can't fossilize raptors; they're too smart!
@collex: hate hate hate!
@Too.Tired.To.Sleep: In these cases, I just see what they're playing for the marathon and play along. (Unless I dislike their episode choice, then I substitute my own)
