I agree with this so much! I mean, if we’re going to accept that Finn can also wield a lightsaber with such competence AND have the best aim of any Stormtrooper to ever exist, then the “Rey as Mary Sue” argument falls incredibly flat.

It was a dream sequence, so I think in this instance they could be forgiven for the hair being too perfect when she lands. It kind of adds to the too-perfect unreality of the scene.

But the neatness of her hair and dress is a visual clue/reminder that the scene is happening in her imagination.

Just a realist. Suckers often confuse the two. The likelyhood that she went through all of those things with total ease and barely missing a beat is just totally unrealistic. This would make her superhuman, which ironically, is part of her entire brand.
