The Orca Theory

I really want to plug in my PS2 and rock through Katamari Damacy. That game is so legit it hurts.

I loved that little knowing nod Geralt makes to the player. It was so very subtle and just a gentle reminder that yeah, we as players have been through a lot too. Lots of games do that, but it never felt quite as classy until now.

Why is THIS the only thing to get me super hyped at E3 so far? I know we’re only a few conferences in, but this silly little card game has got me stoked.

That seems to be the case with most people, though mileage does vary. I’ve since switched to PC gaming and have been enjoying some lovely 60 fps gameplay, so going to anything less than that now would feel really weird. How was Wolf Among Us? I never did try that one.

Something I’ve yet to jump to unfortunately. I have a pretty nice PC rig nowadays, but I won’t be purchasing any tell tale games just from how burned I felt after that 360 port. I did purchase Life is Strange on PC and it looks and runs great!

GoT was atrocious for me. I, in my naivete, decided to purchase the season pass for my 360 back when that thing was still plugged in. Stutters, frame drops, missing assets. There was one sequence in episode 5 where a character swings a sword and it took - legit - 1m45sec to complete the animation. Story was alright,

Most excellent. Dark Souls holds up remarkably well, even doubly so when the player base is active and there’s summon signs everywhere and invasions happening. Let the party begin!

It’s all in the context, but that pose is anything but basic. Hopefully you get a chance to play the game and draw your own conclusions, but the way Geralt looks over his shoulder to see Ciri is so very telling of their dynamic. It’s a really great shot.

Really great game, but it does not really grow on you until you master the Gambit system, which is their way of automating the AI process that governs battles. Get into that, do a little grinding for the license points that give you access to magic and attacks, and you’ve got a party that can trounce the whole game.

Is there even a fix for a problem like this? I mean there were always people who were pretty nuts and then there were always people who voiced their anger in outlandish ways, but is there truly a solution for this type of behavior?

She’s also notoriously shy on talk shows, so there’s that.

Such a tricky topic, especially anything that comes even with the same zip code as Sarkeesian.

Now you’re playing.

The important thing to remember with these reviews, both with Steam and in general, is to actually read through them. I find that there’s a bunch of folks in the games media circles that I trust to recommend to me a game (or otherwise) because they write in a style that’s coherent, comprehensive, and gives me a sense

YES. ALL OF THIS.

That’ll probably be the case, but here’s to hoping, right?

Thanks for the clarification. I knew the Spanish Inquisition was its own gang, but Fassbender’s accent got the better of me.

A couple things

It’s that strong northern blood. I wonder where he gets those manly locks.

That was almost certainly the case, if we’re talking about the same theory. Like you I read through the books multiple times, consulted the forums, checked in with knowing scholars and all the signs pointed to this truth really since book 1, with further clues being added as GRRM churned out more. I like the theory,
