I had the exact same problem, and always have when it comes to Bethesda games. When you’re just blowing through quests and objectives, it gets easy to just fast travel the hell out of every single one of them.

Another tip: Look for the Boston/Mass references. Though everything is really reduced, in terms of scale, some of the humor and references are spot on. There’s a particular article in the Boston Bugle talking about the local baseball team finally looking like it’s going to win the world series after so many years of…
I don’t think it’s a matter of “not-caring”, but it’s an ease-of-use and just not knowing better mentality. I was in that bracket for the longest time until I decided to save the money I would have used to get a PS4 and just built myself a PC rig to throw into my living room. It’s gorgeous, it’s beautiful. I won’t…
Sounds like a good day to me.
That’s half the fun. Pushing that limit of fear. Amnesia had this exact effect on me, to the point where I had to force myself to just sit down and struggle through it and found it a really liberating experience. Should’ve streamed that just for the amount of swears.
Yes! The expansions were awesome. I had a blast with those two and Solstheim was a really great addition to the map. Maybe personality is the wrong word? I guess in 2011, when everything that shot out of high-budget gaming was all in shades of brown and gray, i was really hoping for something more lively. I shouldn’t…
I tried to not comment too much on Skyrim because I have some pretty scathing comments on it. I know Oblivion isn’t exactly the most exalted in the series, but it had such personality in such a weird way that didn’t come across in Skyrim. Sure, there was lots to do and I had a blast over a 150+hour trek, but I can’t…
Most Ubisoft games is key. Some of them actually manage to pull them off, like Far Cry. I’m addicted to that outpost clearing mechanic. When Far Cry 4 came out, i was super stoked to just play Far Cry 3 in the mountains.
I just got to that first night section...holy shit dat panic tho
I’m not concerned with map size and, if anything, I can appreciate a small more condensed map. Open world games as of late are content with putting us on these huge maps full of walking/running/riding but very little to do in between. The Witcher 3 mitigates this by at least giving tons of herbs/items along the way…
That was the exact tip my tech-savvier friend recommended to me. He also said to check out some subreddits to see what sales come up, and to be aware of what’s going on for black friday. I’m at the point where I’m looking at motherboard/cpu/gpu configurations and am wrapping my head around some of that stuff. It’s…
I only recently starting dipping my toes into PC gaming, after years of watching steam sales go by and being in awe. I upgraded my home desktop a little bit with some additional ram and a 750 TI and man...I didn’t know what I was missing, truly. The rest of my TV set-up is still sub par (720p at it’s finest) but even…
Great trailer and a neat concept, but David Cage has been tossed neat concepts before and botched at least 2/3 of them. Heavy Rain was the only real heavy hitter between the 3 games and even then, if you play it once there’s no real incentive to go back and explore other options. The ending is always the same.
Thanks for the tip, I think that’s the plan for now. Wait for some sale and then pick it up when I’m not so burnt out.
From what I understand it wasn’t Rocksteady that handled the PC port, it was the same chuckle fucks who did Origins, so I’m not holding out for much. Based on what other people are saying here, it seems like I should just wait for the sale of the century. Steam Winter sale here we come!
but batman, tho
I wanted to play this game so bad and when I heard about the performance issues I held off, thinking it would be fixed with a patch. Now 5 months later and I see this and see no real tangible effort to try and sway me to even make that initial purchase and I can’t help but feel a little dismayed. Love Asylum and City…
Going back in time wasn’t causing the havoc in Arcadia Bay, it was the fact that Chloe was supposed to die and Max kept saving her. Every episode featured some Chloe-peril that needed solving and each time made things worse for the world. Whales were dying, Moons were multiplying and there was a big ass tornado on its…
Never thought I’d say this, but I am done with the series. I never was a hater of these games, despite their problems. I got Rogue for the 360 and Unity for the PC (uggghh) when they both came out and desperately loved both, despite their faults. Seeing the press for Syndicate, even the improvements, made me just…
That was the exact thought that crossed my mind(i sat at that decision screen for awhile lol). In the end, it really just seemed to me that the direction of the story got darker and darker everytime Max saved Chloe, whether it be from gunshots or trains or even a god damned mystical car accident. I think Max, through…
