The soil around that area is packed with salt, so by the time the runoff makes it to the sea it is super concentrated

Large mountain range in the way going west. I suppose you could go to the gulf of Mexico, but that’s a long way and politics would get in the way. Either option isn’t economically practical.

Until recently desalinization wasn’t economical and CA is just now building plants. Unfortunately getting the approvals, acquiring the funding, and completing the construction takes a fairly long time.

Growing up I used to go fishing at the Salton Sea pretty regularly for talapia and corvina. We even chartered a boat once. Then the salinity got too high from all the farm runoff and everything started dying. Eventually the tackle shop closed and now it’s a ghost land.

TWC is way worse than AT&T... My past few years as a U’verse customer have actually been really pleasant. Even canceling because of moving I got them to waive my ETF for U’Verse.

And nothing, I repeat NOTHING, in this world is worse than having an alarm go off after you are already out of bed. If there is one thing that activates rage mode, it is that.

Hopefully it’s not like my girlfriend giving directions because in that case the instructions would come about 30 seconds late and then the navigation would get upset that I missed a turn/exit that we already passed.

I actually specifically mentioned Samsung as the exception..... Did you not finish reading?

I bought an MX Revolution mouse back in 2006 or 2007 and I am still using it today. Sure it doesn’t get as much use and it originally did and the thumb grip part is pretty worn, but the battery still holds a respectable change. It’s the undisputed champion of computer mice.

Actually your example validates my point about software. Sony makes the sensor that is in both the iPhone and the Xperia. Their Z3 actually has a better sensor, and while pictures are really good on the Z3, the iPhone probably edges it out in photo quality even with a worse sensor. Furthermore, if you bootloader

The interface of the app is better, but the post image processing is terrible and that has a major impact on overall photo quality. A lot of Android phones use image sensors that should be as good, if not way better than Apple sensors, but Apple just gets the photo processing right. When I used a Nexus 5, we never

765 * 3 = 2295. An adult male could eat that burrito for every meal and be consuming a standard days worth of calories.

as well as updating bigger apps on its own platform before getting round to iOS.

Apple did a pretty good job with the iPhone 6, although the iWatch is pretty underwhelming. I’ll put good money that Star Wars crushes the box office

The lay flat seats are pretty expensive, but very reasonable from a mileage standpoint. United saver/partner is 30k miles for a standard cattle class Europe flight, and 57.5k for lay-flat business seats. Considering the standard prices for those tickets are around $1,300 and $4,800, it is a really good deal. (Actually

Also, just an FYI. The October 2013 13” Retina MB Pro refurb is only $100 less than this brand new one. And this one comes with 8GB of RAM of 1866Mhz ram vs 4GB of 1600MHz RAM. That alone, (not even considering the refurb vs new argument) is worth $100.

Yes, but none of those are the new MB Pro with the Force Touchpad....which is what this post was about

128GB SSD kills it though. Too bad that $200 discount wasn’t on the 512GB SSD version

To be fair, they didn’t remove first because it makes everybody feel bad. First class was so expensive that the only people flying first were those in business class that got bumped. So, ditch the first class, and make business class a bit nicer and everybody wins.

The biggest problem is cost. A lot more cost. It’s not just that the seat has a lot more moving parts and pivots differently, but I’m sure manufacturing a seat that pivots this way and still meets safety regulations is prohibitively expensive.
