Not the same CPU. Samsung went with an Exynos because they said the 810 was overheating and then thermal throttling. Also, the GPUs in current smartphone processors are pretty powerful and would be handling the display, so I don't think you'd see much of degradation in performance.*

I wouldn't bet much on that. Samsung is crushing the game in power sipping OLED displays (and keeps first gen tech to themselves). I would bet the LCDs that HTC is buying use significantly more power even factoring in the processing power.

A sort-of-but-not-so-scientific way to look at it. The Note 4 display is more power efficient than the Note 3 display, but also packs a higher resolution. If you took both phones and turned off wifi and just ran a video on loop until the phones died, the Note 4 wins by a landslide.

Think of your entire phone as being a giant display. With OLED, if it's not lit up, it's not using power. You could do some really cool things with a phone that had a display everywhere.

No chance you'll see root on any carrier that doesn't want you to have root. AT&T & Verizon for sure. Note 4 is unrootable for AT&T and Verizon, and Android 5.0 is only going to lock things down more.

Yeah maybe I should have put editor and not writer. That's actually why I wrote "publish" in the next two sentences.

It must be tough to be a Gizmodo writer. Publish a slightly not gadget related article and everybody complains. Publish a very in-depth technical article, and everybody complains.

Did you read the article?

and to think, you were only $40 off...

I seriously wonder how the new Macbook would fair pushing two displays. It's an Intel Core M...

The Pebble has 5-7 times the battery life....

To start, I did say people have different needs in phones.

-The bezels all around are larger than the S4.
-That one gasket is the one I am talking about.
-Wireless charging means you have to buy a whole bunch of wireless chargers or, worse, carry one around at all times.

-The S6 looks 1000 times better than the S5. Also, I own a Note 4 and I have not removed my battery once

you do realize two things:

It's a terrible commercial. Although not sure it's meant for millennial considering only the oldest millennials would recognize those movie quotes. If it was meant for millennials, McDonald's marketing department needs a major overhaul.

So antibiotics to keep chickens from dying are still ok. Antibiotics to plump them up, not ok.

McDonald's is starting to feel the health conscious trend on their bottom line. So taking small steps, and trying to make big news out of them, might be a viable way to market the "new" McDonald's.

The point is that is shouldn't be. There are plenty of places that you can pee in public without being completely disrespectful to others.

European public bathrooms wouldn't help much in this case anyway. They are closed by the time you get out of the bar.

Having lived near bars a couple years back, I can tell you how bad it sucks when people pee on your walkways right outside your window or mailbox. Peeing in a bush by a parking lot is one thing. I don't care. Peeing where people live/walk is messed up but all too frequent.
