Have you held a Note Edge? It's quite possibly the worst feeling phone in the world lol. The curve makes it impossible to hold, and since it's so close to your hand it's awkward to use. If you are left handed, well you are completely screwed.

Judging by the last two HTC phones, I'd say the "doesn't matter" point is about 8MP. Also, considering that is what the iPhone uses and it goes toe to toe with the best smartphone cameras, I'd say it backs up the 8MP cutoff argument.
