Don't put everything on the same network (PoS, External Log-in sites, Customer Data, Sales Data, Unreleased Movies, etc). If you do, it only takes one vulnerability to open the flood gates.

For the most part people who get free items rate them higher. I know for a few of the items I've gotten free, Amazon had 20-50 5 star reviews before the item was even available to purchase.
