Bruce Willis and Nicolas Cage are still somewhat box-office draws (probably more than Tom Cruise is at this point) and without being very handsome. Nic Cage is actually an incredibly weird looking man. And someone like Tom Hanks can be a totally normal looking dude and be a huge star. Hollywood is trying to make

Hey man, we have Clive Owen as our world-weary, tough guy. We just need to put him in some good movies.

@avclub-e5438bd5e7a11caaf7c625d9d5ab7b50:disqus Based on the commentaries, Matt Groening hates when the characters go all wall-eyed, which happens to be maybe my favorite thing in the world.

I hope all reclusive, European, electronic music duos announce new music with viral marketing this year.

@avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus Well I feel like a real asshole. That is awful.

I was hoping "guru" was basically Matt Groening's job but he seems to have a really hands off approach to "Creative Consultant." It seems like Matt Groening is Queen Elizabeth, making appearances, lording over smaller territories (comics, merchandise, Grenada and so on), making money. Whoever is the showrunner at the

Yeah the writer/animator divide is a really good point. On the commentaries Matt seems to be really interested in the look of the show and animators who worked on the show (I've only listened to the Simpsons commentaries).

I think the animation in the recent episodes is nice, clean and well-drawn but is incredibly stiff. Like distractingly so.

I guess this is a good as place of any to ask this question: What does Matt Groening do on The Simpsons and Futurama?  It's a question that's been bothering me since watching a Simpsons writer reunion that Conan O'Brien put together (http://www.youtube.com/watc… they went down the list talking about the contributions

My sister is an Arya. Aryas can be annoying, always just saying whatever they feel like, always getting into trouble, disregarding rules, being rude. Sure they might be more fun and spontaneous but there are downsides too. Also I'm agreeing with @avclub-760e8ab5cbfa2895b4b000a3b1948bad:disqus, a incredible thirst for

Everyone who is calling Cersei a moron, let me remind you, she is right about the Tyrells. Everybody is complimenting Tywin on being really shrewd but here is Cersei going to him with a concern she has that is totally correct. Sure it may have more to do with being pushed out of influence by this new queen but she has

Knocked Up but I don't think they share scenes.

I'm surprised by the amount of people who are really confident. Everything before yesterday is a blur to me. The first album I ever owned was Fush Yu Mang by Smashmouth (on cassette) but Even when I got it I hardly listened to it (I was 10). The first album I bought with my own money By the Way by the Red Hot Chili

Maybe it's just because I'm not critical enough and too easily satisfied by soap opera-y storylines, but I'm not totally annoyed by the Don-is-cheating-again plot. I think the fact that Don himself seems to be going through the motions is pretty interesting. Also the fact that is driven by a boredom of Megan or even

I don't get much of a thrill from the tension and anxiety. It just stresses me out. That is not why I usually play games. Sometimes I think I'd like to play a survival horror especially if everyone says they are very good. I play stealth games and I can usually get through those even though they stress me out a lot.
The

All survival horror games. I own a copy of Amnesia that I got in a bundle but I know I will never play it. I can watch a horror movie but I can't deal with pushing my little player avatar forward so I can experience whatever terrors a game throws at me. I even have a hard time playing Bioshock which isn't really

Annie's most prominent character trait seems to be that she is innocent or childish or naive. She is supposed to be smart and accomplished. That is probably why the Jeff/Annie relationship seems off-putting even though they are both adults. Jeff just seems like a guy who pats her on the head and dispenses fatherly

Actually I think I might like storyline like that again. For awhile now it seems like the study group are always relearning the value of friendship. Sometimes I think this causes the individual members of the group to stand out less or be diminished to one-note jokes. Sure it might be more democratic to characters who

I think all the characters are at least a little off. I think I was trying to say that the show has been paying the most attention to Abed and Jeff. It seems like the writers feel like they have a good grasp on those two though I don't they have it quite right.

Yeah I think they lost the track with Annie's character. Actually everyone who isn't Jeff or Abed.
I'm annoyed with how the biggest character trait for Britta right now is that annoying and unlikable. Usually on a sitcom they have some give and take where a character is wrong or unlikable but then they aren't. Britta
