It's super weird to think that these kids who were a generation or two removed from people who lived through WWII were so flippant about it.

That section was great and so was the part where Tom and Julie played a couple arguing over whether they are going to watch Peaky Blinders or Ballers

More Amy Sedaris: Kicking off her shoes right as she is warned not to walk on the rug with them. I rewound that a few times.

I really want to see how thought out his argument is.

Is this a definition based on the idea that 60s Rock music essentially changed the definition to mean heavy guitar based music with minimal blues influence? Because many of the r&b and soul artists discussed probably have more in common sonically with early rock and roll (which was mostly just R&B mixed with country)

Seems pretty arbitrary… None of those guys really did a lot of "hard-edged guitar"…

Are Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison or the Everly Brothers Rock and Roll?

Watching a man's junk get wailed on by a bat is the kind of sophisticated humor I look for in a program.

I liked the Richard Thompson/Lemmy Kilmister episode. The juxtaposition of their careers is interesting.

The Jon Stewart stuff got the headlines but the stuff about his mom was pretty interesting too. I like how Marc was more sentimental than Wyatt.

The host of Bullseye says he gets a lot complaints whenever he interviews rappers even though they make up a small percentage of his guests. It is too bad because they usually make the best interviews.

That's how I feel about Geralt but never would've thought to put it that way. Thank you.

I guess I never meant to say no black kids were listening to Bob Dylan though that is basically what I said. Of course there were people listening to whatever. I was really just thinking that Bob Dylan's influence probably was insignificant especially to the people who would go on to create rap. There are better

New Hampshire.

Slick Rick is more British than West End Girls is hip hop.

Fuck you Slick Rick! You'll never live up to the dope rhymes and fresh beats of the Pet Shop Boys!

I had a professor taught History of Rock & Roll who tried telling us Bob Dylan was a hip hop innovator because Subterranean Homesick Blues. As if a bunch of black kids living in inner city New York were listening to Bringing It All Back Home.

Yes, I would love to see him return to directing things that aren't Duran Duran concerts.

I enjoyed it a lot but maybe had low expectations. All of Sonic Youth usually off as a little snobby and I thought she seemed pretty open and relatable here. Well, relatable for a person who talks a lot about conceptual art.

This movie would be improved if it were about Based God and not regular, ol' boring God.
