Why would Porsche’s chief of engines be under fire for this emissions scandal?

Imagine if they went with bare aluminum instead of stainless steel. The weight reduction would have helped any anemic engine.

The Rambo Lambo!

The looks grow on you, especially with the M-tech options like that one in the pic is wearing. The 318TI weighed 2600 lb vs the 3300 lb for the coupe. Finally, the hatch makes this car an excellent cargo hauler.

Maybe in the former Soviet Union, the Yugo was a good car. The only competition was the Lada.

I would add it probably has the reliability of both brands.

That car is very nice. If name recognition is not a concern, the Kia 900 is a great deal. I would pick one up if the price is right.

Accessible =/= easily replaceable. What matters is the ease and number of parts you have to remove to get access to thread that timing chain through the engine and around the sprockets.

I nominate the Coda electric car. According to Wikipedia, the Coda used a Hafei Saibao chassis (same as the 1990’s Mitsubishi Lancer) and the car itself was designed by Pininfarina (yes, that guy). The car did get US crash test certification in 2009 so it was not any more of a death trap than a Chevy Aveo. The car did

I am not particularly surprised VW’s CEO would not know, even though this does not excuse his strict liability as CEO. I have seen middle managers make unethical decisions to meet goals set from the top. How they achieve those goals are never mentioned. Top management does not care how things get done so long as they

Wheel speed was also a factor. Since VW had FWD for their diesels, the rear wheels would not be moving while the front rotated. That is a dead giveaway the car is on a dyno. For AWD, a zero wind speed measurement and wheel speed could determine if a car was on a dyno.

I am in a boring job now. It is not that the job is boring as much as the boss wants things to remain the status quo. I have pretty much automated over 50% of my job (Thank you for Task Scheduler and batch files, Bill Gates!). This is how I have time to post online during work hours and research more ways to automate

It still does not stop us from voting for a law that locks the chamber doors until these fuckers do their jobs or die trying. We either get results or we get new lawmakers. Sounds like a win-win to me.

It is a raw deal because these employees are not paid. Think of this as unpaid leave. You can not apply for unemployment because [gasp] a furlough is not considered unemployment. How is that for government employee benefits?

“Congresspeople, by the way, continue to get a paycheck.”

Combine these two flattops with some armed export versions of these tilt rotors and Egypt has itself a multi-purpose bomber and troop transport.

I hate them. Take them off and shave 2 ounces of weight.

I took my heat gun to the BMW SF’s logo on my wife’s car. She never knew the difference and I felt satisfied.

Costco fills their installed tires with nitrogen as part of the $15/wheel installation and puncture guarantee. Tell them to meet it or you walk.

“Tech Inspection Guy: This is a real Hummer, not one of them later ones, built for bitches.”
