Nathaniel’s goal is just anarchy, right? It’s not really compelling. The actor is playing it with some creepiness that I appreciate, but the writing is really weak. Even worse is Kora, who did a heel turn before we even got to know her character, so it had no emotional resonance and does the actress no favor as

But poor Deke and his crush on unrequited crush on Daisy that I thought was going to become requited at some point. Nah, it’s fine of course and I really like having the character on the show.

Who would ever want humor in their Justice League stories? That could never be entertaining!

Sure, but shutting down production and then getting it up and running later and getting all the actors’ availability to line up again would be amazingly difficult and expensive. He knows this.

How dare you sully us with a pun like that. You should truly be unforgiven. And um... something something... space cowboys!

I thought they shot they chopped the first season into two halves so really are just picking it up for a second season? Either way, happy there’s more coming. It’s a little uneven, but I like it, and hopefully it’ll get better as it goes.

The Tick cartoon? Agree. The live-action FOX show? Maybe. The live-action Amazon show? Disagree!
But glad you liked it of course! Spoon!

“It is July 28th, 2020. I am in Los Angeles. I watch Emmy nominations being announced by a group of actors who are each in separate locations due to a worldwide pandemic. A television series depicting my life is nominated in every category, even in ones for which it does not qualify. The announcers state that this is

I never knew Rahne was pronounced like “rain”!

Animation seems a great way to go with this (I think they were originally looking at three big budget movies?) I do hope they don’t stick to the original comic series all the way through, as it definitely petered out and took some odd (and not very good) turns over time. But for a while there, it was so much fun.

Yeah, when I saw Rogen listed I assumed he’d be playing Mark’s best buddy, William.

I’d say Hickman is my favorite currently, but that’s because I’m one of the very few who can’t get into Ewing’s Immortal Hulk. But glad everyone else loves it!

In the Empyre: Avevengers prelude issue, it seemed like the Avengers were all being mind-controlled, especially Tony, and yet it the first issue of the series they didn’t really play it that way. Just that they were wrong. Odd.

I do wish I could get into the Valerio Schiti art. He’s clearly skilled but just not my

I’ve heard they’re considering calling the team the Red Tails, which is the nickname for the Tuskegee Airmen. Given D.C. is such an African-American city and the team has so many African-American players, it seems like a good fit (although Tuskegee itself is in Alabama so maybe not?)

A bummer the episodes with the offensive scenes “will be unavailable for purchase from iTunes and Google Play.” I think they should be available for purchase for those who want it, but with an explainer (and/or apology) at the beginning of each of those episodes (and one that you see before you purchase, too.) As

Now playing

I agree with the review. It was kinda fun, but not funny enough? And I actually usually like Deke a lot but felt this was too much. Glad others like it of course, but for me just felt pretty lazy given we’ve all seen tons of (better) ‘80s movie spoofs. This one being one of the best...

Although Pitchfork did love the new Fiona Apple, so they’re not always wrong.

Thank you for the deeply informative article.

I’m not familiar with the accusations against Anderson, but Wallace isn’t “trading in” on the incident. The president of the United States, the most powerful person in the world, accused him of purposefully lying and misleading the public and he defended himself. His co-worker did find a noose. It seemed at first very

That sounds tough, but do remember online reviews on sites like Amazon or Yelp tend to be love or hate it, as the people who thought “that was pretty good” or “not bad” usually don’t bother to right a review.
