Yes, that one! haha.

I found two articles that explain the beef between them a bit (the first one strangely ends with what seems a plug for Jerry’s show, but still both worth a read.)

She wrote a cookbook on how to get your kids to eat healthier. The woman who sued had previously pitched a similar book to the same publisher and been turned down. The judge found the general ideas in both books had been around a long time and no evidence of plagiarism (just more likely Jessica Seinfeld could get it

I agree he should stand up for his wife. And the case was apparently dismiessed pretty quickly. But he could’ve defended her without calling the other woman nasty names on national TV. He probably meant it to be funny, but it came off more cruel to me.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of his public persona anymore. The arrogance started to leave a bad taste when he went on Letterman and brutally mocked the woman who had sued his wife for plagiarism, and Jerry’s arrogance seems to have only grown from there.

Amazon should scoop it up and make it a companion to their successful Bosch TV show. Then they could do crossovers, too. (And if I thought of that, no doubt they did long ago!)

I loved it when it came out, and still love it now, but the ending is a tiny bit of a bummer. The way the filmmakers want to show that Marty’s life got made “perfect” is by his family now being rich and him getting a fancy material possession (a new car)! Success equals being wealthy, success at capitalism equals

And it has Mary Steenburgen. She’s a delight!

You’re probably right, but Downey’s got...

But have fans asked the other Matt Murdock?

If it was a one time mistake, maybe getting temporarily suspended, and given a chance to learn from his error would seem more appropriate.

Looking forward to watching this! Nice review.

You figure Jost could get Scarlett Johansson to host, no? At least to just do the opening the way Tom Hanks did.

I thought the laughter was really odd (realize it likely helped the performance but still...) But otherwise liked it!

That and his Joe Biden were my favorite things from when he was on the show. Hope he comes back for both!

Now playing

Great article. I wanted to add that John Oliver did a funny but horrifying deep dive into the FOX News’ and others’ misinformation campaigns about COVID-19 that people should check out...

I keep seeing reviews mention how the album’s title came from Gillian Anderson’s line of dialogue from that episode of The Fall, but no mention of Allan Cubitt, who wrote that line of dialogue. It’s a great line (and great choice for an album title by Fiona Apple) so let’s give the writer his due!

As a more casual fan of her work, I enjoyed it and found a lot I’ll be going back to for more focused listening, but do wish she’d gone further with more traditional melody so I had more to hook into emotionally. But glad her fans love it!

“The Mutlitiverse” was the event’s theme this year (they pick a different one each year as a focus for the art), and it would have led to a lot of fun and playful interpretation among the fun and playful attendees of the event.
