Or it’s like Castro wasn’t listening when Biden said, “Okay, number one, my health-care plan does significantly cut the costs of — the largest out-of-pocket payment you’ll pay is $1,000. You’ll be able to get into a — anyone who can’t afford it gets automatically enrolled in the Medicare-type option we have.”

Esther or Joe?

Except the old man, and yes he is old, wasn’t rambling in that moment but the young guy misquoted him and doubled down on his mistake. Castro came off terribly in my book.

Yeah, there’s no late payment. Just unexpectedly went over their limit.  Thanks for the advice!

I hit my credit limit on one card last month for the first time.  How much will that ding my credit score?  For how long?

Yeah, which is why he seems an awful choice for the Legion of Super-Heroes. But fingers crossed...

So the idea isn’t that you as an individual who is white have never had challenges. Extreme ones, even. Or that some individual black folks don’t have some aspects of their life that are more comfortable than you have had it in terms of their maybe being born middle class or rich while you were working class.

Well, then I apologize for misreading what you wrote.  Sorry about that.

The three reporters aren’t fighting over who should get credit for the story, so not sure why you need to put any of them down. All three of them, through their hard work, helped changed the culture for the better.

I saw the original trilogy in the theater and they meant the world to me. The new ones have been... fine? I like the new young cast enough, but wish they hadn’t shown my heroes’ futures turning out to be so grim.

Please tell me that multi-page examination you linked to is satire. Wow.

The Data Privacy Protection Act was enacted in part due to her murder (and also to protect the privacy of abortion providers) but there are loopholes in it that they didn’t see being a big issue back then but are huge issues now, so it needs to be updated.

Dark (and funny) take!

Logan” was pretty character-driven I felt. No clear ‘70s reference, though. I’m excited for “Joker”.

The Dreyfus Affair is indeed a fascinating (awful) story well worth a movie. But not one one from Polanski. It’s impossible not to read it as Polanski trying to say he too has been accused unfairly (as opposed to saying he too was the victim of anti-Semitism, which he was horrifically as a boy).

But it’s Disney who is “screwing the fans” by blowing up the agreement so they can get a lot more money, no?

In the next movie, he could just be on the run, being hunted by Kraven, unwilling to reach out to his old MCU pals as he doesn’t want to hurt their reputations. Maybe it’ll be a little odd his pal Happy Hogan isn’t trying to help him out, but they could cover it in clever dialogue I think.

I actually don’t love how

Because one of those old white guys who can’t admit he’s wrong supports a moderate Democratic agenda (abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, immigrant rights, the rights of religious minorities, international cooperation instead of nationalism, a fair tax system, health care for all...) while the other does not. If you think

Maybe but he remains ahead in the polls despite lots of flubs. It seems a lot of Democrats support his candidacy. My guess is Warren will be the nominee but so far he’s holding in front (while she gains, no doubt.)  Thursday night should be interesting, in that I think he’s going to get pummeled, and I don’t think it

Poor Marcel, the monkey.  RIP.
