That was really wonderful. Definitely can see this episode getting an Emmy nomination.

Yeah. Your fighting a bad guy who can raise the dead. Maybe don’t stay in a crypt! And Sam giving up his weapon only made me worry about them more...
And I think the Trump defense is that since Wikileaks did not break the law to get the leaked Clinton docs (they were given to them by the Russians, who did break the law), that the Trump campaign working with Wikileaks is not illegal.
Maybe! He’s been portrayed as so worried about his image, that I would think he’d be worried about losing half his potential future audience. But the characters are a little inconsistent at times, so you might be right.
What an odd take. A candidate who, two months ago had very little national recognition, is taking time to introduce themselves to the public, share their personal story and values, before unleashing a torrent of policy proposals that will likely be close to what all the other Dem candidates are proposing... this is a…
I thought it wasn’t great. Dan is always worried about appearances, is well known from being on national TV, and doesn’t care about being seen going to the abortion clinic? Not that he should, but feels his character would. And why does Amy quit Selina? Isn’t Bill Ericsson running Jonah’s campaign? (Maybe he quit and…
The only one of those that was too quick for me was the Theon one. I know they don’t have a lot of time, but a more daring rescue would’ve been fun to see.
How should Democrats feel about Bernie voting against gun control measures several times in the past? Don’t think any candidate has a perfect record.
I think most viewers of the Leia scene had no idea that Darth Maul had done that. I just found out by reading your post (which is why his appearance in Solo made so little sense to me and many others.) That all said, I wasn’t at all bothered by what Leia did. She’s a Skywalker, they can use the force well, and it…
Loved this piece (and feature.) Look forward to the next one!
Thanks for sharing this. Great to hear her in her own words, not soundbites, and I’m glad Colbert gave her a national stage.
I’m just now catching up with episodes, but enjoying the reviews. Just wanted to say thanks for pointing out the punching down of the anti-trans joke. Felt like it crossed a line. Hopefully there won’t be more of it ahead.
Yeah, this looks great. For the author of the article who feels that he likes not knowing anything about the Joker... um.. just don’t go to the movie. It’s not like there’s one canon for the character, just different interpretations. And this interpretation looks fantastic!
No, the original article makes no mention of where it will be set. This is just click-bait and I fell for it.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience, and the article itself. I wish both women who came forward shared your opinion that, “The question is not whether Biden should disappear from public life and end his presidential bid...”
Third Rock from the Sun was certainly super broad, but this bit made me laugh at the time...
Before coming here today I had no idea this was a thing. Not reclining on seats that are made to recline seems odd. Especially as the person behind you can do the same if they want to.
Go Lucy Flores! The article cuts Biden’s statement short, which I wish it hadn’t, just so we get the full story. It sounds like he was definitely creepy (not defending that at all), but the full statement is at least some attempt to be supportive of a victim sharing their story (so yay?)
Actually I feel a person of great privilege saying how important it is to be kind and respectful of others, especially of those with less privilege, is refreshing these days.
I think the impetus behind Latinx is a good one, and of course calling people by how they want to be called is most important, but saying it in Spanish and especially saying the plural (for a group of people who are Latinx) in Spanish is quite a mess. I think the “e” idea would work better, too (I’ve seen it proposed i…
