Colbert seemed to agree with Leno in the longer quote in the Variety article. That in Leno’s time, it was more appropriate for a national show like “The Tonight Show” not to have a strong point of view when it came to politics (Jay himself seemed to be a moderate Democrat.) In Jay’s initial quote he was saying it

Seth Meyers has been pretty great since he got overtly political.  If that’s not your thing than it’s not for you, but it’s been smart and funny for the most part.

Maher sucks. But just curious, who is the longest-serving late night talk show host if he’s number two?

Chelsea Clinton’s reaction to a deeply offensive accusation was incredibly polite. She’s impressive as hell. The students not so much.

I’m hoping they try out Messi and Dybala on the field at the same time.  See if a chemistry can develop.

Any stretches you like for the psoas muscles?

I think Gambit is a much better supporting character (in small doses) than a protagonist so I don’t see the loss of a solo movie as a big deal. My favorite Gambit is still his first few appearances when he was a mentor to a de-aged Storm (because comics) and they became kind of the Robin Hoods of New Orleans (for a

If they ask you on your interview, “What is your greatest flaw?”, here’s an on-topic answer you can use...

Yeah, I suffered through that one as well. If you want a good version of two friends showing emotion Seth Meyers recently did a long interview with John Mulaney for the Late Night with Seth Meyers podcast. Lots of SNL stories and real affection for one another. If you’re a fan of them, I’d check it out.

Such a huge talent. The movie “Love & Mercy” portrayed him and a little of the 1960's session musician’s life (he was played by Johnny Sneed) and the documentary “The Wrecking Crew” of course featured more of him. As did all those amazing records. RIP.

I haven’t listened to the Olyphant one but I really liked the Goldblum one. It was scattered but I just find him so odd and charming. Overall liking the podcast a lot (the Dana Carvey bit with the Beatles’ voices really cracked me up.)

Okay.

In her words, “There’s no one way to be black. I’m black the way I know how to be.” I’m not one to argue with her (or you) about one’s own racial identity, but feel free.

You’ve watched every episode all the way through? Man, you’ve seen a lot of crappy sketches.

I assume you know you can be Latino and black. The former an ethnicity, the latter a racial category. As I understand it, Zoe Saldana considers herself Afro-Latina, so black and Latina.

Different strokes!  I do love the cast and hanging out with them for a few hours is always fun.

But that guy hates comic books! (But I assume, like the rest of us, likes money.)

Iron Man 2 is my least favorite of all the Marvel movies. Followed by Thor 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (those two are almost a tie in blandness) and then Ant Man and Wasp (I apparently don’t like the sequels, outside of Captain America.)

Installed.  Thanks!

I’m not sure about pulling it from DVDs, but the show is aimed at all ages (including kids), and the episode is built around his persona as a sunny child-loving man-child. It made me uncomfortable at first, but on further thought, it’s not the same as playing a song of his in the background.
