It’s a family show so I can understand taking an episode built around someone who was a predator of children out of circulation (and his persona as a man-child, which was later used to seduce children, is also a big part of the episode as I remember it.)

If you’re counting the DC shows on the CW, then you can count Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. They introduced a gay character back in 2015.

Well, in the comics, Carol’s Captain Marvel has been their biggest female character over the last decade so it’s not shocking she gets a movie first.

It was also one of the times they had to publish a Captain Marvel related book to keep the trademark.  Starlin did a great job with it.

Yeah, that was a great character bit by Bendis.  Too bad he screwed the pooch so badly on Civil War II.

I love it through issue #200. And then still liked some storylines (Mutant Massacre, Inferno, the final story), but it lost a lot of its focus in the later years for me. He was purposefully mixing things up, separating the group for long stretches, and that was interesting for sure, but not as fun for this fan.  Still…

We’re not gonna agree, but there’s a much better way of making her point than the words she used. It does require more care than a blunt tweet. Asking public figures to not use deeply offensive language when discussing policy isn’t asking a lot. Granted, the opposite helped get our piece of shit president elected, but…

She has help spread deeply offensive and painful stereotypes about Jews. Shockingly, Jews got upset. She apologized the first two times but has not done so this third time.  It sucks.

Omar apologized with sincerity for her mistake the last time she used such language (a few weeks ago). But she then used new offensive language a few days ago. And refused to apologize for doing so. That’s caused the current situation. She’s a really smart woman. She could do a lot better.

Clearly there’s racism and Islamophobia in the way the Congresswoman has been treated in general (from before she even took office) and it’s disgusting, but she has now three times used language that is painful to a lot of American Jews. A huge majority who are Democrats and no fans of the current government of Israel…

Cecily Strong is my favorite of the current cast.  Such a huge talent.

Black Panther is the third highest grossing film in North America, so I think the love shown by the reviewers wasn’t really far off in that particular case. I thought it was a lot of fun, if not the greatest, but do understand it’s huge appeal.

You weren’t disappointed with Thor 2 or Iron Man 2? (My two least favorite of the Marvel movies, followed by Ant-Man 2.) Those second movies are apparently tough for me!

I totally agree with you that they’ve made us care very little for the younger characters, so if one of them transforms into a godlike being... meh.
