In his prime he made incredibly funny and smart movies for their time, and as time wore on, made films about adult relationships and the human experience that resonated with a worldwide audience. Some purely dramatic, some still with jokes. He created many great roles for women and then cast great actresses to play

The era when they don’t cancel anything has passed. And before that passed the era when a Netflix show equaled high quality.  These days it’s a total crap shoot.

In the comics, the character has always struggled not to get cancelled when the star of his own book. He works best with his best buddy, Luke Cage. Hopefully they’ll team them up for a Heroes for Hire series (and look to Jo Duffy’s Power Man and Iron Fist run for inspiration.)

I think he got it wrong on purpose, as Ryan Adams famously used to get pissed durng concerts when people would jokingly shout requests for Bryan Adams songs. Although in the most famous case of it, it sounds like the guy in the audience kept making the joke, kind of ruining the show.

Interesting. I thought the show should’ve ended with their wedding. While the Michael farewell was a great episode, it felt like the story of the show was over once they get married. For me it started going downhill and picked up speed in that direction once Carell was gone.

Haha. Plus, there was a remake just this year (but with superheroes to make it fit today’s market better.)

Fun article! Nerd trivia: Black Panther was actually chairman of the Avengers way back in 1969 (Avengers #63). They used to have rotating leaders at the time. But this is the first time he was elected (not sure when they started electing them.)

The AV Club did a good article on that episode a LOOONG while back...

Any advice on how to set (joystick/keyboard) controls using a Mac?

It feels like they think they have a winning issue and are running with it... The false narrative that Democratic mobs are attacking white males, and only they, the party of law and order can save you. They’ll take the story of Ted Cruz being bothered at while out at dinner, people jumping in elevators to talk to

Wright directing the Atom would seem most appropriate in a vengeful way (although I liked the first Ant Man movie plenty.) But someone else here mentioned Plastic Man, and that seems more fun.

Last day to register in many states is tomorrow. Spread the word!

Maybe it’s to slow down people fast-forwarding through the commercials on their DVR?  So you think the show is back on and stop and then just leave it playing because you’re annoyed?

“When can we start the revolution?”

Ha! I do love “Stripes”. Let’s column celebrating that!

This seems so mean-spirited for something that’s made millions of people laugh even if you don’t care for it. Weird choice for a column when there’s so many great TV shows not getting enough viewers you could be celebrating.

Definitely vote! And today... (Note: only call if it’s YOUR senator who is not opposing Kavanaugh. According to Indivisible calling from out-of-state is counter-productive as it clogs up the phones from constituents calling and gives the senator an excuse to ignore the calls.

With Trump-like nationalism seemingly engulfing the world (England, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, possibly Brazil...) where will you go? Consider coming back and resisting. We need every energized citizen.

I don’t believe the FBI has been given the latitude by the White House to do a real investigation. It’s up to voters calling their senators. May not work, but worth the effort. And even better if you have time to show up at their offices.

Because Megyn Kelly is terrible and NBC never should’ve given her a job?
