From what I understand the book is about the dying off/retiring of the classic rock era acts and what that means for fans of that era and popular music. So I’m not sure it goes into the roots of the music, as that sounds like it would be a different book.

Wasn’t it the combo of a percentage of Obama voters going to Trump (I’ve seen it listed as 12%) and Clinton not getting as many people out to vote this time at all who voted for Obama? (Maybe that’s what you were saying but it seemed to downplay the first part, or I read it wrong.)
