This is hilarious to me. Guess what mr. unknown... your game mode is not unique nor the first of its kind. Get over yourself... and PS. you ain’t no Sid Meier, get your damn name off of things.

Here’s something that’ll blow your mind. You can bet your ass if Hollywood were doing an adaptation of FMA, casting white actors, i09 and Kotaku would lose their shit screaming “whitewashing” at the top of their lungs.

If it was the other way around casting White Europeans as Japanese characters, people would be loosing their shit and everyone would make videos and articles about it everywhere.

This is all kinds of dumb.

Good, we’re glad you left. If you’re gonna play a team game and then not play for the team then why are you playing the game in the first place? Overwatch in particular is a game that stresses team play over individual action with an emphasis on adaptation via counter picking. If you were the type of player who

Yeah well the problem with your attitude is now you’re forcing someone else to play a role they don’t want to. Your fun comes at the expense of someone else.

That’s a really shitty way to look at it. It’s a team based game. You’re supposed to work with your team in various situations. If the other people are being raging assholes about it then yea, fuck em, but if someone says hey we need a healer and you know damn well Hanzo is not a good pick for the objective/map then

Who knew people would play a team-based, competitive game to win? Oh, right: millions of sports fans worldwide.

Maybe fuck meta, especially in quickplay, but you still need some team structure or you’re just going to be stuck at the first choke every match.

This is as much a bug as Tracer’s Black Widow victory pose. It’s backpedaling after public outcry.

I appreciate the eagle holding a machine gun.

Considering there’s absolutely no causal link between playing war-themed video games and participating in actual wars, uh, no.

Video games are entertainment. Just because someone enjoys a WWII docu-drama doesn’t mean they’re going to grab a rifle and storm Normandy. Besides, it’s not as if stylized ultra-violence (and other ostensibly objectionable content) isn’t well-represented in Japanese games already.

I only wish there was more to the campaign because the aesthetic and the idea are cool enough and almost good enough to sell by themselves, but there isn’t enough, so you get through it too quickly and all you’re left with is some stale MP.

Don’t. As a Chicagoan, it barely represents Chicago, except maybe Navy Pier, which is pretty good, and a couple other landmarks. Otherwise, it feels like something someone from the West Coast made after reading the Wikipedia entry of Chicago.
