Here are the two scary parts I noticed in that statement.
When Google Fiber-like services are available around the world, then we can talk about "always online" and "cloud computing" like it's something that's actually going to change the industry. Until then, Microsoft, please kindly stop pretending you're from the future and ground yourselves back into reality. You have…
It's like the end of an old Scooby-Doo episode. Microsoft's yelling, "We woulda gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids!" while the laugh track booms.
im not bitching because the policies changed, i'm bitching because the initial policies were so fucked up, that I don't trust them to keep these new policies.
I won't buy this system anymore even if these changes are implemented. I will punish Microsoft's hubris in the one way they care, the wallet.
And who says complaining never solved anything?
You DO realize that the "cloud computing" bit is bullshit, yes?
As in, they can't do it now and they can't do it in the near future because of bandwidth differences between all players and data capping?
In other words, the stuff that you think will help absolutely will not happen.
What about people with slow connections, how will their AI be? The cloud is utter bullshit, you are just falling for it like sheep, and even if it was true, imagine, 7 years later, the game loses all online support, and you can't even play with bots, because the AI is stored on the cloud!
It is for them too, they just don't want to admit it. The 24-hour thing is so they can enforce DRM more easily. Period. All this stuff about "cloud processing" and "dynamic game worlds" is a bunch of smoke-filled misdirection bullshit.

Everyone's got that one mobile game they're addicted to, at least for a time.
"XBOX WHERE IS CHARLES LEEEEEE"
I'm happy for this new addition to gaming that Ubisoft is embracing. Their app for Ghost Recon Future Soldier was good at what it did. I didn't know about AC4 having that map feature and I don't know how I missed that tidbit. I do remember reading that Watch Dogs was going to have this same kind of functionality. I…
This game looks so bad ass. After all the games, this is the one i'm most excited for. I'm just waiting for some kind of bad news saying it wont look or play like the demonstration showed.
The neatest thing about Ubisoft's just-revealed The Division wasn't the graphics (they're fine) or the guns (they…
"We are still negotiating the terms of our surrender to this DRM"
Excellently said.
