1990 Camry.  Had 120k on it in 95. Has just under 280k now.  in the last 26 years it has only broken down once.  It may not be fast or fancy, but it is reliable and easy to work on.

Those were (and might still be on some models) very common in Japan, especially higher end models like the Cedric/Gloria, Toyota Crown, etc.  As far as I know Mazda is the only one to offer swing vents on cars exported to the US.  

Since a lot of classic JDM model names are western human names it wouldn’t be too hard, depending on what your tastes are... Nissan - Cedric, Gloria, Laurel to name a few. If you are a Toyota (like me) fan - Cressida, Mark, Cresta, Aristo, Windom, Carina, Celica, etc.

Exactly!  My 90 Camry has the 2.0 125ish hp version of that engine and if it were a stick, it would be insanely fun to drive since it and this Celica share a good many underpinnings.

I have been driving for over 26 years and I have never run out of gas.  But I also generally fill up when I am down to 1/4 tank.  I have had the light come on a few times, but I was also on my way to the nearest gas station at the time.
