I have a former co-worker who says exactly the same. She grew up in what she refers to as Pennsyltucky.

Exactly!  McConnell in particular because of everything he did since taking the reigns of the senate.

American cars particularly... The Germans were building some great stuff, but the buying public was still largely buying American in the 70's, which were mostly barges with bad build quality, now strangled with emissions control requirements.  It amazes me how little horsepower big V8's in the 70's had.  That’s how

1978 wasn’t a great year for cars that suit my taste.  The Japanese weren’t quite there yet in styling, and truly only the Germans built an attractive car, so for me the choice is clear, a W116 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9

My 76 year old aunt, who is small of stature has a 2012 Rav4 and is very comfortable in it.  She still drives, but the back seat has a relatively flat floor and is roomy with decent cargo capacity.  I just bought a 2010 myself to replace my terminally rusted out 95 F150.  The 2.5l 4 cylinder is perfectly adequate, but

Same!  My only concern would be parts availability and New England winters.

If it’s good enough for the Emperor of Japan...

Thomas is only 72 and Alito is 70.  They could easily make it another decade.

I do similar, except tell them (honestly) I have a 1990 Camry with 278,000 miles then ask if they can cover it.

That’s about right.  Mine were about 8.50 USD.

They’ve made it hard to get just the rubber.  My old Toyota has blades designed to only replace the rubber and I have to special order them.

I bought one of those full seat slings too for my new to me Rav4 with leather. (unfortunately after we were out for a drive and a thunderstorm came up, so I had to do a little leather repair) and I do the seatbelt strap with her harness as well.

I’ve done one before.  But I’m not aware of them being much of an issue on a 1JZ like they were on the 7M.  The 3S in my 90 Camry was done at about 260k or so.  first time it was ever cracked open, so if they go 250k or more before needing done, that’s not too big of a deal in my book.

And that 80's barge isn’t as long(191.3"), wide(68.7"), or heavy(3,682 lb) as a modern Camry lol! And the engine is a 1JZ, so...

My particular tastes leans toward this:

Manchin is still a DINO.  Most Democrats in WV know this, but he gets enough votes to get the nomination and every Republlican who has been his opponent was so repellent he has been a shoe-in.  He sucks, but he’s better than Capito, who I really hope loses to Paula Jean Swearnigen in November.  Capito’s dad was scum

My mom is on her 4th one.  She had a first gen that was an 01 SE in silver with leather.  It was a nice, fun little vehicle that they kept for a number of years.  They treated it like a truck and I liked it best of all the ones she had.  She replaced it with a 3rd gen and dad drove the 01 for a few more years.  She

That V6 was plenty quick in the 2007 Camry (I worked for the local dealer back in 2006) so I believe it. Mine is perfectly adequate with 2.5 4 banger.  The V6 would have been a ton of fun in something with the curb weight of the Rav.

I live in rural WV and have two cars that are over 30 years old I park in winter. Here in hill country, the back roads don’t get plowed in a timely manner when it snows and even a FWD vehicle with snow tires has trouble on these roads, so I keep a winter 4WD. I’ve had a Jeep Cherokee (replaced the engine after it threw

Bingo!  Gay, atheist born and raised in rural WV, but the county seat also has one of the larger 4 year liberal arts colleges in the state so it’s not bad.  I’ve lived here my whole almost 42 years and it’s home. I am blunt and upfront and people generally know it is a bad idea to discuss politics or religion with me
