It was 240hp in 1998, and that was much more than its midsized contemporaries of the era. I think the Japanese imports had V6s with outputs ranging between 190hp (Camry) and 220hp (Maxima). Ford had something like 200hp in the Taurus. Dodge had...busy mechanics.
