You raise an excellent point re: double standards.

Shopping with my kids is so much harder than shopping alone, but I try to think of the constant apologies I'm making on their behalf as social contact with new adults.

Bundy's redneck supporters had them out gunned, stated their intention to kill the agents there, and they couldn't get back up from the State's National Guard. An armed terrorist group/ militia not being killed really isn't the antithesis of a police shooting.

Ohhhh, I do love a online bad boy! *winks*

Know what I find morally objectionable? Adults who are supposed to be available to provide emergency services denying appropriate medical care to CHILDREN WHO WERE RAPED.

Not a perfect solution by any means, but maybe consider women's colleges? Smith College wasn't perfect, but one of the best experiences of my life for sure. While I have no doubt that the administration at Smith has just as many fucked up policies as any other place, at least the majority of students and staff there

Right, like find a brown or black person to do interview and figure out a way to empathize with their experience. Go out in public with them. Something along those lines. But, "skin darkening" is slowly crossing the line into something else entirely. I get what she's trying to do. But not like this.

I know a guy who can tell you all about the White Experience.

I went from "meh, that's mostly harmless" to "OH NO" very quickly.
