From the reno photos I've seen, it looks like it's a stunning hotel now, fully restored to its art deco grandeur. But I bet it's still chock full o'ghosts, too.

Thank you. I'm surprised it made it out of the greys! The memory, even 3 years later, is still so vivid. Anytime I get a whiff of that wet musky smell of a cigar, I instantly get the heebie jeebies.

In 2010, I had the distinct pleasure of heading to a conference for work in Baltimore with colleagues I couldn't stand. (And blessedly, I no longer work there). My boss made it a point to stress repeatedly that we should find the cheapest hotel rooms possible, so I got my own room at a hotel separate from theirs.

Because in New York City public schools, they already believe their students are criminals anyway.

You know what will shut down discourse? No new posts or articles until this situation gets addressed and fixed. Hit Gawker Media in the bottom line and I'm sure that'll finally get their attention.

So... No ortolan then?

"It doesn't rewire your brain."

Yes, but will we be packed in like immigrants in 3rd class steerage on the Titanic? I just need to know how much deodorant I need to lather on.

Oh I hope Toca Boca sues the shit out of them.

New mom here to a 2-month old born 5 weeks early (and who spent 39 days in the NICU). Right now, I would hardly call this a "job" - but it certainly is work, that's for damn sure. Hard, overwhelming, very nearly back-breaking (G-d love my Moby wrap but Jesus, my shoulders) work. Only partially rewarding right now...

Does she always where white to her court appearances? Like some kind of subtle "But I'm innocent, I swear!" psychological ploy? I'm too lazy to Google image search.

Does anyone know if there's a way to integrate RSS feeds into Evernote?

Hmm... wonder how this will affect my News Alerts that I have pushing to RSS instead of email? Hoping those will import to a new reader just as easily.

What's the price point look for each, with the 50% discount?

I gather from these two lists that Grierson is the artsier of the pair, rolling his eyes every time Leitch goes on and on again about "Ted."

I had long forgotten about that wonderful Sesame Street video. And now that child's voice will haunt me for the rest of the day as I try to get that (intoxicating) song out of my head.

Fair enough and I do agree. Thanks for entertaining my devil's advocate moment :)

Mine is Anne Hathaway, or as we call her in my house - She Who Must Not Be Named.

Thank you so much! She offered to be our egg donor early after we were diagnosed, but we were still gung-ho about pursuing an anonymous donor at that point; she offered again this spring and something about it just felt right this time. Wishing you much luck on your cycle as well! Feel free to connect with me here:
