For SUPERHERO PURPOSES
Nah, the idea of the Speed Force as its own thing has been around in the show since Eobard Thawne said "You're part of something greater, part of a speed force" but, yeah, the preview for the next episodes looks like Barry's trapped in the Speed Force, so it's gonna for sure be its own thing.
Maybe Nora got remarried and Barry had been calling that guy "dad"
Would it, though? They could easily do it as a self-contained thing - as Barry experiencing the universe change bc it's not like anyone else would recognize that there even /was/ a change. (Besides Cisco)
That's def an angle. He's old enough to give us Grandpa Flash, he's gonna be dead on Earth-1 (c'mon he said he was going to stay he's totally gonna die), Barry would literally cry when he took off the mask and it was him, and he'll be alive and well and in the iconic outfit, zooming into the sunset. (and within…
I don't think there's much, if any Wally/Jesse fanfic yet. They'd just talk about their mutual weird-ass family situations like "WHY ARE WE IN HERE"
The man in the mask is for sure Jay Garrick. The real Jay Garrick is probably Earth-2 Papa Flash aka Henry Allen
I wanted him to learn how to increase his turnover by doing running drills but noooo
There was still a future him going "BRUH, DON'T DO IT" so I still think a Flashpoint arc could happen (because why would Future Barry specifically go 'don't interfere' unless he interfered himself at some point, prob)
For sure. And same if they ever decided to do Flashpoint just have Barry wake up and be like WHAT.
Nah, he's not Crisis-d yet. I mean, true, he's part of the speed force, but at some point he's going to run so fast he's going to vanish into the Speed Force - there's no way they /wouldn't/ have that at some point.
They expected comic book people to yell about it. Which is what a lot of the "big" plot this season seemingly runs on.
Probably still Henry-2, but divorce or something
Looks like Earth-2 Papa Flash (Henry Allen) is the Real Jay Garrick aka the man in the mask, what with the maiden name reveal, the fact that John Wesley Shipp is Barry's dad, the fact that it'd be a shock if Barry's dad /didn't/ kick the bucket, and the EP's promise that "they're not ruining the legacy of Jay Garrick"
Yup, I've been feeling that grown-up Mateo is the narrator too, and this episode gave us a lot.
I only knew about it because I was telling my own father about a production of Cyrano de Bergerac I went to and his response was "oh, I've seen Roxanne! :D"
I got through my drink too fast so I didn't partake in the show's drinking game. AGONY.
oh man I /just/ got that joke.
Fascinating stuff!
