Ray Bradbury’s writing always seemed like it was aimed at sixth graders. That’s not an insult, I think it is very effective when read at a certain age, but it certainly leans towards being blunt and simplistic.

The source material kind of sucks. Maudlin, poor characterization, blunt-trauma delivery of its moral message. Doesn’t excuse a bad adaptation but it helps explain it
Reading this made me sad until I got to the line “Make America Burn Again.” Now I’m just laughing.
As a huge fan of Wes Anderson, I can’t really disagree, though I’d argue he’s gotten close a few times. Also, Moonrise Kingdom is hugely underrated.
I watched both The Phantom and The Shadow on the big screen, and I will have words for anyone who tries to crap on them. They were both cheesy, and cliched, but they were fun, pulp movies just like their source material.
Fine. When will this country get serious about Scotland’s mental illness?
Stop using “latinx” for gods sake. Its a word made up by a bunch of activists trying to out progressive each other, and is used by exactly no one in the actual latio community. People in Mexico would laugh in your face if you used “latinx” in front of them.
I loved it. Had a blast the whole time. I thought it did a really good job of balancing funny with emotional. That last Stark/Parker scene HURT.
I prefer Emily Blunt as Natasha instead.
“Obscure will involve Black and guests from the comedy world offering commentary on “every line” of Thomas Hardy’s 1895 novel Jude The Obscure”
I am from the old school on JLA - Cyborg is a Titan and his slot belongs to Martian Manhunter. J’onn J’onzz has been a part of every Justice League team for a long while and it is odd that DC has basically ignored him.
And finally, there’s Sly and the Family Stone. They’re not really superheroes, though. More just like everyday people.
Ugh. This not sound good. Me sure there will be some great one-liners, as Archer never in short supply of those. But if Reed really this bored with premise, just call it quits and make new show.
I’ll watch, I’ll enjoy, but I’m no longer excited. This was a Top 3 show for me, hands down, but it’s absolutely lost something (the true interest and ambition of the creators.)
“Tina’s classmates are the best group of secondary characters this show has.”
but I can tell you what meat is made is made of.
No, overprocessed garbage is what most meat-eaters consume.
I’m not familiar with any of the radio shows directly, but I love the art deco era and those types of characters always appeal to me — i.e. The Shadow, the Phantom, Rocketeer, etc. None of those are masterpieces, or come close to Raiders, but they’re a fun mini-genre that I’d like to see get resurrected. Seems like…
