Because watching Miami Connection is such torture? Whatever. That movie is ridiculously fun. I’d far prefer to watch rad movies than watch people talk about them.

I’m actually genuinely upset by this. Mozart in the Jungle was the best show about what it’s like to devote your life to art. Going from a mostly silly show to something that became quite complex and moving as it developed.
It ended in a super dance party at Batman’s house. That’s all that it needed for me to consider it an all-time great. I had my quibbles with the plotting, but I loved the ride—which is what Snyder was going for more than anything. I’m glad that DC has found its footing again. It’s a fun time to be a DC fan.
No that was brilliant. Thank based Adult Swim.
Those were bankers. It’s okay to wreck their shit.
I can not understand why someone hasn’t adapted Insomnia yet. It’s not just the first mention of the Crimson King, but the book is filled with some of King’s most arresting visual ideas. I just need a big studio to talk Shane Carruth into helming the adaptation.
I love me some King, and I’ve read and watched damn near everything, but Tommyknockers is not very good. The movie (featuring Traci Lords!) is probably better than the book, but that isn’t saying a lot.
Oh don’t even get me started about me thinking it was a good idea to take a first date to see A Serbian Film just because she was Eastern European...
I dug the hell out of both, for different reasons.
Only paralleled by the underage sewer gang bang in “It” in terms of “...the FUCK did I just read!?”
Yea, she eventually landed on a planet made of machines, and after a few thousand years, spent her last days playing with a talking cat, a robot, and a real dandy guy.
My favorite thing about KB Toys was how they would somehow always have action figures from obscure toy lines that I thought had been discontinued for 10-15 years. I remember being a kid in the late 90s and always seeing original toys from early installments of the Robocop, Terminator, and Alien franchises whenever I…
So weird to me to think of Westworld becoming this big thing.
I mean, he has a point. This site is pretty much half promotional ads trying to sell me shit. Trying to paint the AV Club as some bastion of anti commercialism is pretty disingenuous at best.
“If you’re an A.V. Club reader, you probably share our general cynicism for promotional nonsense.”
But... but I hate The Killing Joke.
It’s a mosasaur... much cooler than a dinosaur!
Konami wants $10 for an additional save game slot. That’s all you need to know about this garbage. Fuck Konami.
It’s a funny movie with genuinely likeable characters put in situations that feel incredibly believable. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it doesn’t have to.
I dropped out of Archer around the 6th season, when it seemed pretty clear that the creative team was bored with the show and just rehashing the same jokes yet again. Props on them for giving the people what they want, I guess? Which is keeping the show going somehow, despite having what seems like no desire to…
