Eh? Use the plug in, don’t pay. How are you defining “circumvent”?

These types of papers have always carried a cost. It didn’t stop “civilization changing science” then, and it won’t now
Does the publisher not deserve to be paid for the service they provide though?
Sure, but if the publisher has the right to request payment, is it right to circumvent that?
Why should we not pay for someone else’s work if they are requesting payment?
Wait that’s silly. A car’s primary purpose is transportation, not to plow through things and people. A gun’s primary purpose is to shoot things, and it actually doesn’t have any other purpose.
Ouch
PalmOS for life!!
Social construct or not, it’s still the easiest way to describe someone, and as you pointed out, skin tone doesn’t always paint the whole picture.
The arm rests can be raised
Yup. But it is now. So delete the beard comment, no?
Probably right. I honestly think this is all silly. Describing his assumed race is far less useful than the attached photo.
They can log into find my iPhone from anyone else’s iPhone that was there.
Yes. Hold down the power button
Describing someone as black or white is in no way racist. While race may be a social construct, if someone describes a white guy in his mid 30s, you have an idea of what they mean. It’s a good descriptor, period.
Agreed. Which is why it’s strange that they included the fact that he’s bald with a full beard. It’s obvious from the photo.
Why was there a need to include the fact that he’s bald with a full beard? Isn’t the picture enough?
Yes, his face is right there. As is text stating that he’s bald and has a full beard. Why include that information when there’s a picture?
Not everyone that looks negroid IS negroid
I suppose that means all the more reason to include that information now that it’s confirmed.
