I think it’s because apples business model doesn’t rely on your personal data. Apple makes money selling hardware. Google makes money collecting and selling data

It’s actually extremely common (former cell phone retail guy here)

I have a corded rotary phone and an iPhone. The iPhone was significantly more expensive. One of them is over 40 years old and still works like new. I should be ecstatic that my iPhone has lasted 2 years? I guess welcome to 2017.

Is using the term “old white dudes” really necessary or appropriate? And if so, is the term “old black dudes” acceptable when appropriate? Just curious.

Agreed. I think the Mercedes W126 S-class absolutely fits the bill as well. Sure, the newer models have a lot of fancy options that weren’t possible back in the mid 1980s, but if we’re talking about a comfortable ride, leg room for days in the back, and leather everywhere you look, the 126 holds up quite nicely. And

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the radar grille thing, not the LEDs. But yeah I agree with you on the LEDs

Goatse?

Personally I think MB does this on purpose. You can immediately recognize a higher trim level MB by the glossy section on the grille. There are even aftermarket grilles available with the shiny part for no other reason than to say “I have the better model!”

For the future, it might be more helpful to readers to give the actual dimensions of the product, rather than comparing it to a “stack of books”. Just sayin’

Totally agree

So the PS4 Pro is essentially the next generation of the PS4 console?

Interestingly, if they had done that, more people would have bought the better tv and would have been happier with their purchase! You might be on to something.

A free market is supposed to work through consumers choosing the best product to spend their money on. Agreed.

Well the whole reason lying for profit is a problem is because it could harm a consumer. Stating that your product does X when it doesn’t actually do X harms the customer. Stating that your product does Y, and it actually does Y does not harm your customer.

There is no indication that there will be any premium price for this service. Sure, some people may choose to move over to att because they’re offering faster service that they call “5g evolution”. And as long as they’re getting the faster service being advertised, they’re getting exactly what they are paying for. If

Yup. So what? Someone thinks they have 5g, but they have 4g, but their data is faster. Again, where is the actual harm?

What specifically in this case is bad? How are customers harmed?

You sure? What are the standards outlining the next generation of the LTE standard?

Nah. Customers win. Att wins. No harm.
