It’s comedy. Not horror.

It feeds the rich while it buries the poor, so nope.

Man, I sure am tired of all these civil wars.

What makes war so civil, anyway?

I hope so. The comments on Jezebel are pretty much non-existent because of the subscription requirement. They relaunched Splinter the other week with the same model, same thing. And even though they’re both owned by Paste, it looks like the subscriptions are separate, subscribing to Jezebel doesn’t subscribe you to

The rumor I heard is Paste is the kinda place that likes to lock commenting behind a paywall.  Not a fan of that

And hopefully Paste realizes that a really vibrant comments section is a valuable thing for  a content site.

GMG was renamed G/O Media when it was acquired by some shady financial firm, and as of a week or so ago they sold AV Club to Paste Magazine.

Hey, it looks like avclub is no longer a part of GMG anymore?

I AM COMMENTS REBORN!

It’s that Barsanti’s not good at it.

Also, I’d like an answer to something more fundamental:

Why does Barsanti constantly write like this? What is the point of this first paragraph?

He’s 52 and he’s from Boston - he should be playing someone’s great-grandfather at this point.

We’re huddled within the carcass of the A.V. Club making fun of A.I. shams while using Kinja accounts that consigned our profile images to oblivion.

Name already trademarked by my high-school funk band.

It was called Willy’s Chocolate Experience? That’s just a porn parody waiting to happen.

Im sorry but every detail has me laughing hysterically.  This is objectively terrible and I feel bad for the actors involved.  But holy shit this is the funniest thing so far this year..

It’s a lot likelier that a group not willing to pay money for art will also not be willing to spend money putting on a good show.

If nothing else, I am hopeful this event will help the public associate “AI art” with low-effort shady bullshit.
