I do love me an unconventional but at the same time well-loved engine config, and the Slant-6 is a legend so I can’t fault this choice.

I’ve said it before on here but the development of the 1994 Dodge Ram pickup series from the previous generation spanning back to the 70's was ground-breaking. That design shifted the public perception of pickup trucks and all the major automakers followed suit within 2 years.
I have long advocated for HD to branch out into large-scale yard equipment, riding mowers and the like.
What kind of opposite-world are we living in these days? Next you’re going to tell me that David Tracy has engineered a way for rust to be used to stick a car back together and that FIAT (dead in the ground b4 I call them Stellantis) has engineered a car that doesn’t crap out at 60,000 miles.
This was my response, this is the rare perfect scenario where “Go ahead and purchase the car you already ordered” is the right answer.
I lived during this time, and I will never understand why we considered wire wheel caps to be “luxurious”.
Without doing too much research, (this is the internet, such behavior is frowned upon here) I would submit the original Shelby Cobra. Tiny lightweight car with an absolutely huge engine. So many makers copied that manuscript once Carrol perfected the notion.
Talk about some who, over the course of decades, has consistently maintained who they are as decent, powerful and influential people without sacrificing their integrity or dignity. Cassandra, Dolly, I am at a loss to come up with more names. Lord knows most athlete’s fall off their heroes pedestals as time and truth ca…
1969 Honda CB750. Disc brakes, reliable electronics, higher performance and lower maintenance compared to the street bikes that were already dominating the market.
Growing up one of the neighbors on my street must have been a car guy before I began to appreciate what that term meant but I remember he had an SX4 and a DeTomaso Pantera. I seem to recall these and the Eagle wagons were relatively common in urban Kentucky back in the early 80's so the Pantera was what really caught…
Wilkommen and fair weather to our new contributor!
For $7500 you wouldn’t have to deal with potentially shady importers and for that alone I voted Nice Price.
I tend to agree with assessments of the Glad that is has awkward proportions/lines in its stock form, but my wife is a bigger Jeep fan than I am and she is starting to push lately towards dumping my 12yo 4-Runner in favor of one and I can’t say that I am completely against the idea.
Car for Free;
The desire to be the 1st one on your block to have one is just insane to me. These’ll be like Gladiators in 18 months, dealer lots will be covered in them and the suckers who paid over MSRP (excepting special ed versions like Warthogs and High Plains) will be that much farther underwater on their loans. I have little…
Outstanding trip report, glad you had fun and an overall safe experience.
If I’ve learned anything from watching Downton Abbey, its that the downstairs servants will be working on some scheme in which a footman will “fall upon the sword” for the sake of the Lord’s House and will be shipped off to a station in India serving tea to the heathens. Also the Irish radical chauffeur will attempt…
Sonumbitch I wish I had known that. Its one of those things that you chuckle the first time it startles you because “Yeah wow I wasn’t expecting that” but after the 10th time a boiling rage would well up because it would startle me just as much. Holding the loose negative cable was like Will Ferrell cranking on the…
I have so far only seen the 4D versions in addition to the Sports and I am like you they don’t exactly blow my skirt up. Maybe the 2D version will look better but I’ve been keeping my eye out and haven’t seen one. Yet.
I wanted to hate this when I saw the title, then I began to love it as I read through the listing, then I got to the price and realized I hated it again. Appears to be incredibly well done and well-modified, but not for $15 large.
