This works until the vehicle is more than 10 years old and manufacturers are no longer federally mandated to produce replacement parts for said vehicles and then those expensive parts become obsolete and nearly impossible to find.  

Last car loan I had started in 2016 so it’s been a while, but I was told at the time the financing cutoff was 8 years old and/or 120,000 miles.
