I was the first one to watch this show in two of my close friendships. Now, with each of them, when they come to New York to visit me, we always end up watching the same episodes over and over again. Sad to see it go, thankful it’ll live on in my living room.

Just to support you —

I love her hair.

Agreed on the mother — I needed a little more of her internal life. Her (spoiler things) missed a beat.

She’s a sleeper talent — like Mary Tyler Moore of yore, her positivity and ambition cannot be stopped.

It’s such a good show. I don’t like the notion that ‘ALL’ you need to know about the show is in the 4th episode because there’s so much packed into the series of 6. You need it all. Not just for the representation, but how this show is building amazing characters —

Rick O’Connell was definitely part of my teenage sexual awakening. Brendan Fraser will always be able to get it.

I was thinking Hamlet. Equal parts emo (Clark Kent) and ruthless (Superman) all in the name of good. Luthor as Claudius, the rejected father figure and evil king. I could see Lois as Ophelia, too.

YES.

He is the best vice president we’ve never had. Think of it: He’s an idealist, he only ever focuses on domestic issues, he’s a great orator. But yet, he can’t get past his ego enough to take it.

SO READY.

As someone who works way too much and thus is subjected to all sorts of office-related-utensil-issues, let me tell you: just use the inevitable plastic knife that came with that fork. Think of it as portion control in that you won’t be able to pick up everything (unless your fingers get involved), but you’ll be able

I watch the ‘Racial Sensitivity’ episode at least once every few months.

S.O.S./Summer of Sam as well. That film still blows my mind.

I was at a predominately white college in the 90's-early aughts (prestigious, east coast). Spike Lee came and spoke. After it, a film professor who I will always love said this to our class on the Monday after it: “Why did anyone here feel comfortable addressing him as Spike? Isn’t he Mr. Lee?”

If we know anything about Riverdale is that it respects the path — so a B-52's song wouldn’t just be welcome, it’d be right.

Kevin and Moose. You can youtube them to see their scenes. The show could amp up the hotness but they’re a cute ship.

One of my favorite things about ‘You’re the Worst’ is the meta aspect of it — in each episode, they find a note and hit it hard (always known to the viewer by the moment they bring in their legitimately good music choice). When things are good, they foresee the bad. When things are the most ridiculous they can get,

Honestly, at this point, all I want to see is an episode 30 Rock style of the Riverdale’s writers room as they put together the season and the episodes. And then the follow-up production people.
