I don't think power consumption is the draw of this processor. It's the power of the graphics and CPU..
yeah. Windows 8 installs aren't that big. some of the offenders like Samsung have huge rescue restore partitions that take up huge spaces. you don't need that stuff if you back up to an external HDD. and it's Vizio, I doubt they have any backup partitions! :p
the AMD chip is an interesting chip and could fill a void. Although it consumes more power than the Atom (Clover Trail), it's more powerful and has a much more powerful graphics card. It can actually play games that hardcore gamers play like Call of Duty. Whether people would want that in a tablet over battery life is…
any PC you buy from the Microsoft Store comes bare with only Windows installed. no matter whether you buy a Sony, a Lenovo, an HP, a Dell, etc. just clean. one of the few advantages that the MS Store offers.
pretty dumb to try to hide or get rid of metro. if you don't like it, don't use it. but to gimp your OS is stupid. lots of nice and free metro apps out there as well.
here's a demo of the metro snapping and showing desktop programs running with windows apps. start at 1:53 to shorten the video. be prepared to mute the audio.
it's called the quick access menu. you can also bring it up by using the keyboard shortcut win + x.
because only the NRA-toting cult know about this kind of stuff... it's a dark seedy underworld that we don't know about...
i played around with my cousin's nokia 920. that is a beast of a machine. I respect all the hardware underneath but man, that thing is big. i felt like i was holding one of those phablets. after that, I'm definitely considering the HTC 8x. that feels like and tiny even though it's a 4.3" screen.
it looks like a windows 8 app. they should sell it in the windows store.
can you be cheesy and cool at the same time?
edit: the monitor doesn't fold flat. just like the Acer... :( though the portrait rotation is an awesome idea. I have a 3 monitor display and my central display is vertical/portrait. let's you read a ton more which is important for me.
nice to have Samsung finally join the party. I got the Acer T232HL for my dad which is a great IPS panel 23" 10-point touchscreen. It's simply awesome. I do wish it could rotate the 90 degrees like the Samsung though. Would help out with the 2-player air hockey game. My dad love the touch. He was never a big PC…
it is on both the hard drive and the cloud. think before you speak. in fact, most of the complaints just indicate people don't know how it works on the 360. there is a portion of your hard drive dedicated to cloud saves. when you play your game, you are updating the local copy of the game save. then when you are…
there's an old Atari game that's far more risque... forever immortalized through emulators...
i read that they had a kickstarter which raised over $250K for this minecraft making-of movie. pretty amazing that people donated for this project.
kind of a douchebag/snobby kind of comment.
I play this a lot in Windows 8. It's free and a lot of fun. I have no idea how people get such high scores in such a short amount of time.
Sam Biddle's effort at being cutesy? D+
