People who can think ahead and realize that $50 is less over the course of the bulb's life than replacing incandescents and often CFLs. No one should be making financial decisions based entirely on what is more expensive at the moment without regard to the long term costs. It also just isn't true that the light is not…
Sounds like you bought a crappy bulb. Compact fluorescents aren't dimmer than incandescent bulbs as long as you refrain from buying anything in a back alley (or more likely one that isn't correct equivalent-wattage), and the light outputs of both bulbs are determined by the manufacturer and not the government, so I'm…
If you head over to the results of the tests you'd see that T-Mobile has the fastest speeds of the four when considering just phones (this is surely hampered by Verizon not yet having any LTE compatible phones). If your goal is to lay the blame on a carrier you need to look to Sprint, since they launched a pseudo-4G…

@McBeese: And the alternative...? By that logic we shouldn't REALLY be building anything on the ring of fire, because of the risks any structure poses during an earthquake.
@scouteiro: I'd recommend stepping out of whatever box you're in and taking a look at how dangerous coal, natural gas, or oil are to produce and burn.
But they might as well be different devices. If you want to see today's word processors as big and bloated that's fine, but why is that? It's because they do so many more things than they used to, that you at one point were never able to do. That's why they're complex. Writing is more than just putting words to paper.…
Because you're comparing apples to oranges without any kind of perspective. You're word processor does not do the same thing it did 30 years ago any more than a typewriter does the same thing as a pencil.
@craiglloyd: Same for Nexus One users (it's the same chipset). Works, but just below the playable threshold.
@DC: You should start a technology blog. You're already doing better than the competition
BTW a ton is 2000 pounds, so your "half-ton" windows are actually just measly quarter-ton ones.

This should be fairly obvious, but it isn't a national carrier. If they included U.S. Cellular, then they might as well include other regional carriers, which would quickly boil over into either having too long a list or a bunch of carriers that only served a very small portion of the country. It's also not very…
I appreciate the length you went to to summarize it for me, but I've read the engadget review, so I know what they think. What I was hoping for was Giz's take, since (obvi) not everyone has the same opinion.
@fugeesnfunions: But there aren't similarly spec'd Android phones out right now - this is the first with a qHD display, the second with a dual core processor, and none with a battery this big or a fingerprint scanner. I didn't really hear how any of these things were in practice, which for me, makes this review pretty…
How did I not know other locales still have the old Giz?
Well obvi. All guys like blue and all girls like pink. No overlap. No exceptions.
